She did not know what was wrong with Zach. When the door to the room opened, the person holding the saw left. Madelyn sat up on the bed with a dazed expression. Her hair was messy, and a delicate crescent-shaped necklace hung around her neck. She stared at Zach coldly, "What do you want this time?"

Zach noticed the bottle of pills on the bedside drawer. He took it and saw that it was sleeping pills.

'Did she sleep till now because she consumed this?' Zach thought.

Then, a doctor wearing a white lab coat walked in with a few assistants.

He said, "Mr. Jardin, Ms. Jent seems fine..."

Zach interrupted him, "You may leave now."

The entire room instantly turned cold. Madelyn could not read Zach's expression nor understand why he brought so many people here.

'They ruined a perfectly fine door just like that,' Madelyn thought.

Zach pulled the curtains up to let the sunlight in while Madelyn used her hand to block the sun as she shut her eyes.

"Do you know what time it is?" Zach asked.

Madelyn said, "Since you've imprisoned me here, what else can I do besides sleep?"

Zach could not see any will to live on Madelyn. She was like a wilting rose about to die at any moment. Madelyn wanted to lie down, but Zach pulled her up. He ordered her, "Put on some clothes. I'm bringing you downstairs to have a meal."

"Even if I'm dirty, you still have to take it," Zach said.

Zach forced himself on her multiple times. On his final round, Madelyn fainted and slid to the ground. Her nightgown was torn to shreds, and her back was covered in Zach's kisses.

When Zach did not hear the usual sobbing, he noticed something was wrong. Madelyn's face was pale.

"Madelyn?" Zach asked.

Madelyn's breathing was weak. Zach quickly carried her without much thought. He covered her with a coat and quickly left the hotel with Madelyn in his arms.
