The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning (Madelyn) novel Chapter 702

Zach continued to muse, 'The person I had called a fool hundreds of times... When did I start feeling this way? Is it regret? Am I regretful?'

He was genuinely perplexed. He was even less clear about his feelings for Madelyn, though he did not want what belonged to him to leave. So, Zach sneaked into her room countless nights, desiring to possess her over and over again. He wanted Madelyn to become the Madelyn from before, the girl who only loved him. Even if it required every means at his disposal, he wanted to keep her by his side.

'If it is love, I can try to love her. Even if she doesn't accept it now, she will someday. If she wants a child so badly, I can give her a child.'

The following morning, as the first light of dawn broke, Madelyn unexpectedly heard a baby crying. She opened her eyes groggily and stared at the ceiling. After a few minutes, the distinct cry of a baby echoed once more. She looked to the side of the bed, but the pillow showed no signs of being slept on, 'Did he stay up all night last night?'

Madelyn curiously opened the bedroom door and walked into the living room. Then, the scene she saw left her speechless.

Zach held a baby in his arms, with Kevin providing guidance nearby. "The baby must be hungry."

Madelyn stood there in stunned silence. She ran a hand through her hair and blinked her eyes a few times, her brows furrowing as she looked at the table piled with baby items, "What are you doing? Where did this baby come from?"

Two pairs of eyes simultaneously turned toward Madelyn as she walked over. She was dressed in a nightgown, revealing her legs, and wore slippers. Zach got up from the sofa, and Kevin took the baby.

"Did you take the baby? Does his parents even know? They must be worried!"

Zach walked over with a blanket and draped it over her, "You don't like it?"

"I'm asking you, where did this baby come from?" Madelyn asked angrily.
