Madelyn noticed that Zach was staring at her as if he was trying to read her mind. She pretended to remain calm and avoided eye contact with him. Her heart was pounding very quickly, “Even if I said I wanted to go, would you allow me to?” 

Het response made Zach’s expression turn cold instantly, “After all these years, you’re still thinking about him? Was the lesson from four years ago not enough?” 

“Whether I think about him or not is my own business and has nothing to do with you. I don’t want to argue with you in front of the child, so just mind your own business. Tomorrow’s your wedding; you shouldn’t be here. Just go home. I’ll take good care of the child.” Madelyn put the kid on the bed. 

Dalton was holding the milk bottle as he closed his eyes and fell asleep. 

Madelyn started cleaning up the things in the room. When she was about to pick up a small blue sock from the ground, she was suddenly lifted by Zach’s hand. Her hands were being held. He then positioned her back against the wall. 

He leaned down to look at her. His gaze was extremely imposing and sharp. He held her wrist as he patted her face with another hand, “Don’t push my limit just because I’m being patient with you. You’d better forget about Ethan right this moment! Just stay close to me and don’t go anywhere else. If I find out you’re up to something, I’ll be very angry, do you understand?” 

In front of Zach, Madelyn appeared extremely vulnerable and lacked the ability to resist him. It seemed like he could easily control her. The more he acted this way, the more he provoked Madelyn’s rebellious spirit. 

She thought, ‘Although I’m terrified of Zach’s way of dealing with things, I’ve always been an independent individual, not his exclusive possession. Besides, he’s already married to Yvonne, so why’s he still trying to control me?! 

Madelyn fearlessly stared into Zach’s eyes, “Well, you’ll just imprison me like you always do. What else can you do other than using Ethan to manipulate me? 

“You may be able to control me now, but you can’t control me forever. I’ll never willingly stay by your side ever. I don’t want to have any connection with you. You’re even more of a bastard than I thought!” 

She thought, “Everything he’s doing right now is to go against the Arnold family. Even I myself am just one of his tools.” Zach’s expression grew darker. His gaze was extremely cold, and he seemed to be scheming something Madelyn continued saying, “I don’t know what you’re planning to do to Ethan by keeping me close to you, or what kind of a tool you’ll use but I won’t let you succeed.” 

Zach smiled cruelly, “What am I planning to do? You’ll find out very soon.” 

“Hubby, we should ” 

Yvonne suddenly walked in and saw the scene. She looked deeply hurt 

Madelyn forcefully pushed Zach away. Her wrist was red and swelling from his tight grip, and it was slightly aching At that moment, her phone on the table rang 

Madelyn grabbed her phone, opened the window, and stepped outside to answer the call. Zach squinted in a dangerous manner. He was extremely possessive of Madelyn and wanted to know about every part of her life no matter what it was, even If it was just a phone call.
