Fred-acted as if he had heard a joke. “Remember, you belong to me now.” 

After saying that, he left, not seeming to care about the woman behind him at all. 

Felicia stayed there for a week after that, like a prisoner. Every day, she was either locked up or humiliated relentlessly. 

Felicia’s manager, Ally Baker, had found out the identity of the person who kidnapped Felicia but chose to hide it from others. Although not many people around her knew about Fred, Ally was confident that she was right about her investigation. 

Fred had a mysterious network of connections, and even the prominent figures were wary of him, so Ally dared not provoke him. 

When Ally received a call to pick Felicia up, she was scared senseless. 

As soon as she saw Felicia, who had been tortured so much that she could hardly be recognized, she immediately took her to the hospital. 

Without Zach, Madelyn finally got to enjoy some peaceful days alone. 

Mya started spending more time in the villa too, even staying there for a few days, sleeping next to Madelyn. 

Eventually, she started feeling like she had spent too much time there. As she was lying on Madelyn’s lap while watching some drama, Felicia suddenly sat up and said, “Why don’t we go out tomorrow? You’ll go crazy if you keep spending all of your time in the house 

“Look at how much weight I’ve put on after staying here. The clothes I brought with me could barely fit me now.” 

Indeed, Mya had gotten visibly fatter after staying in the Jent residence for a few days, but she still looked adorable as usual. 

“I’ll go out with you if you want to. I’m going to buy a few new clothes for Dalton too.” 

Madelyn had lived like this before, but it was different this time because she now had Mya and Dalton, people who genuinely cared about her. 

A maid came over and said, “Mrs. Jardin, Mr. Jardin said that you shouldn’t leave the house. If Mrs. Harper needs new clothes, we can have someone deliver them to her. Also, Dalton’s clothes can be 

custom-made too.” 

Mya grumbled. “Shopping for clothes personally is more enjoyable than just receiving them.” 

Madelyn said softly, “It’s okay. I’ll ask the bodyguard to call Zach. If he agrees, we can go out.” 

Mya sat up straight and nodded eagerly. 

The bodyguard promptly called Zach and told him about the situation, then he handed his phone to Madelyn. 

Mya clutched a pillow, feeling very nervous. 

Madelyn knew that she was afraid of Zach. 

She took the phone hesitantly and put it to her ear, but she could not help feeling nervous too. 

The call only went on for about ten seconds, yet it felt like an eternity to Madelyn.
