The men in the two cars behind him immediately rushed down. All the while, Joseph ignored Jaylah, who seemed terrified and uneasy. Instead, his eyes were fixed on Paige. This was the man who made Paige suffer for five years. Just as Bethany was about to question him, she suddenly noticed a large group of people rushing toward her with knives in their hands. “Run!” With no time to question him, Bethany urged in panic. Jaylah, who had regained his senses, looked maliciously at Joseph and Paige. The moment his underlings arrived, he instantly lost all his fear from before. With his vicious eyes fixed on Joseph, he ordered, “Kill him!” These two words carried an indescripable hateful intent! As soon as he finished speaking, the seven or eight men with knives immediately rushed toward Joseph. In fact, they all aimed at the vital parts of his body! “Don’t-” Terrified, Paige let out a cry. After all, Paige and Joseph had just reunited. Could it be that they would part forever this time? Joseph remained unfazed. Thus, everyone on the spot was already terrified by him. Both Paige and Bethany were anxious. How could Joseph remain calm and stand still like that? What was he trying to do? A thug holding a baseball bat rushed toward Joseph with fierce eyes. It seemed that he was aiming at his head. However, Joseph suddenly moved. With a casual grab, the baseball bat instantly fell into Joseph’s hand. Bang! Joseph struck the punk with his bat and sent him flying. The thug probably weighed around a hundred sixty or seventy pounds. How could he be sent flying? “Kill him!” Jaylah frowned. When he saw Joseph approaching with a baseball bat in his hand, he immediately let out a sharp roar. Backing away in fear, Jaylah then swallowed his saliva and frantically urged his men to counterattack.   However, it was completely useless! Joseph’s every step was steady, and the killing intent in his heart had surged to a level like never before. If not for the fact that he wanted Jaylah to be scared and desperate, Joseph would have killed him long ago. However, thinking how miserable Paige and Chloe had lived in the past five years, how could he let Jaylah die so quickly? After all, Jaylah hurt Joseph’s loved ones. Thus, he had to make Jaylah understand that death would be a luxury. Not only Jaylah, but also the entire Kennedy family! Bang! Bang! Bang! Every time Joseph wielded the stick, there would be a bone fracture. It was almost impossible for anyone hit by Joseph to stand up after. “Don’t come over… My father is Brandon Kennedy… If you dare lay a finger on me, you are dead,” Jaylah threatened in a trembling voice. Everything happened so fast that they did not even have time to react. “Joseph, don’t be impulsive.” Paige wished that Jaylah would die, but she did not want Joseph to get implicated. However, Joseph kept striking as if he had not heard her at all. Bang! Bang! Bang! Jaylah continued screaming. His limbs were all broken and blood was all over his body! “You… You are dead for sure… The Kennedy family will not let you off so easily…”

The gangsters threatened Joseph. However, when Joseph looked up, he sent a chill down the spines of these gangsters. At the sight of Jaylah, who had been beaten into a pulp, Bethany was terrified. Indeed, she was dumbfounded. After all, this man was Jaylah! He was the sole heir of the Kennedy family. At this point, how could the Kennedy family let Joseph off? “It’s over. She is sleeping now.” Noticing that Paige did not seem to believe him, Joseph reassured in a more serious tone, “Trust me, she’s fine. I found her earlier.” Hearing this, Paige could not hold it in any longer. Throwing herself into Joseph’s arms, she instantly burst into tears. After all, the pressure she bore was too immense. At this point, she finally could not bear it anymore.
