Thankfully, the brothers didn’t get consumed by guilt as Luca called for the kitchen staff and all those who helped in assembling the actual pizza, which included them.
However, the kitchen staff themselves weren’t sure about this because none of them felt like they did anything notable since they were just doing their jobs.
But then Luca said that no one would even be eating anything if they didn’t work on the actual food.
Also, because this was so time-consuming, how else would they find the time to train on top of their other duties?
The staff all looked at each other and couldn’t believe that their Young Lord even considered such a thing. But more than anything what surprised them was the praise that followed.
"You’ve all done so well," he said, a praise that was directed at everyone, which meant more as it was as if he was treating everyone’s contributions similarly.
"And our kitchen staff, like everyone, had already proven that they’re capable of making food that brings people together."
There was a momentary beat as Luca thought about it. But whichever way he turned it around in his head, it really seems like the smartest way to go.
"Hmm...So, if this goes well...maybe we could consider opening a bakery."
"..."
"???"
Initially, many had no idea what it was until Luca explained that it was a place that concentrated on producing baked goods like bread, cookies, cakes, and other goodies.
"Really?!" screeched the Princess from the side.
Luca nodded, and the Orc, who already didn’t want to leave, now had another reason to dig her heels into this place.
"Oh!!!"
Then the voices finally exploded.
Cries of joy. Applause. One even had to sit down in excitement as they finally understood what opening a bakery would mean for them.
Luca flailed. "It’s not confirmed! It’s just a maybe!"
There were many factors that they would need to consider for this, but he really hoped they’d be able to establish one soon.
But there was really no use saying that now because it was already too late. Hope had already been ignited, and there was no stopping these people’s overzealous hearts.
Still, to calm the hysteria, he raised his voice again. "But for now, if you want to improve your pizza experience, you might want to try it with chili flakes or a bit of chili oil."
The silence was instant.
Those who had only eaten half of their slice froze.
And suddenly, people were looking at their leftovers, before a few suddenly bolted towards the established area for condiments.
It was like a gateway to paradise or hell, depending on whether someone still had a pizza to experiment with.
But whichever way they went, it still ended up as a catalyst for productivity, as it surged like never before.
Luckily, the young heir who now had so many googly eyes looking at him remembered his exit strategy as he waved goodbye to everyone to attend to the pizza pies for the people working on the complex.
It was a good call, too.
For back at the construction site, one blonde felt like the world had abandoned him as the union forums got flooded with photos of that delicious-looking pizza.
Photos, videos, poems. All glorious and tempting.
Photos of a long queue and a group of tall, fierce men and women lined up as they looked nervously at the front, who, on the other hand, looked like they were in the process of ascension.
But just as the poor lad was about to shed a tear after looking at what could’ve been, a voice he hadn’t heard in a while called for him.
"Brother!"
Though maybe that wouldn’t be a good idea since they might force him to live far away!
Ahhhh!
