The runaway groom novel (Irene and Isaac) novel Chapter 1154

Vivian actually felt uncomfortable from Lulu's stare and averted her eyes as she kept trying to slander Lulu in front of Zachary. "You can't let her stay, Mr. Slate. She's so irresponsible!"

Zachary glanced at Vivian with a subtly murderous glare, growling slowly and clearly, "I won't hold back."

Vivian flinched for some reason when she saw the look on his eyes.

Why was he giving her such a cold, scary look?

Still, she quickly assured herself that it was meant for Wendy and not herself.

"You will leave when Star is found," Zachary said just then.

"As I should," Lulu said.

Vivian was convinced she succeeded thanks to their tacit agreement, and she excused herself to go to the washroom.

There, she told her accomplice to bring Star to the nearest precinct—she could not hold on to Star forever anyway, and just having Zachary chase Wendy away was enough.

She knew that Zachary would have her head if he knew she was the one who kidnapped Star, and whatever would happen to Lulu would happen to her.

However, Vivian simply did not understand why Zachary would not do anything to Lulu even if she had actually lost Star, but whatever Vivian did to Star would end up badly for her either way.

The officer in charge informed Zachary just then, "Someone left a baby outside the precinct. Please come to confirm if she's yours."

Zachary soon received a phone call that the people he sent found Vivian's address.

Zachary told them to stay and keep watch—Vivian would definitely have left some trace after bringing Star there, and it would serve as evidence.

Everyone went to the precinct right then.

Star was asleep, but her cheeks were red and her eyes were swollen.
