Hilaria was skeptical about the whole marriage thing, preferring free love and free marriage. As such, over the years, she didn’t pay much attention to Jaime’s marital status. 

Jaime was okay with it.

“Mom, Hilaria, Paige’s water broke!” 

Kate exclaimed in surprise, “What?! Wasn’t it supposed to be tomorrow?!!” 

She had just been maintaining her lady-like composure, now she was all flustered.
