Benedict’s words infuriated Sophie so much that she planned to kill her eldest brother. Her fingernails dug into her palms, so the latter bled.

“Have you figured out the flowers Sophie keeps?” Gabriel inquired. The servant responded, “Most of them are ordinary, My Lord.”

“What about the rest?” Gabriel pressed. The servant shook his head and said, “Not yet. Sorry that we can’t find out what they are.”

Gabriel fell silent. “They may be some wild flowers,” he murmured. Discreet, he added, “Keep a close watch on those two flowers in Benedict’s yard.”

After a moment of hesitation, the servant reported, “Lord Benedict has only one servant now…” This news brought a slight frown to Gabriel. “What happened?”

The servant explained, “About one month ago, Lord Benedict dismissed nearly all of his servants, and only one attendant is there now.”

That survivor had grown up with Benedict, so his loyalty was unquestionable. Once again, Gabriel fell silent. Recently, he had been too busy to spare his eldest son some attention.

“Let it be. Don’t disturb Benedict since he wants a quiet life. Keep a close watch on him, and keep me posted minute by minute,” he ordered. “Yes!” the servant said quickly.

There were simmering conflicts in Duke’s estate while life in Saint Grace Nunnery was eventful.

Night had just fallen. Eliza went home after attending to her herbs in the mountains. On the table were the good dishes prepared by Renee.

“Welcome back, Your Grace. Come, dinner is ready.” Renee warmly gave her greeting to Eliza as she put the last dish on the table.

“Coming. Let me wash my hands first.” Eliza left her wooden bucket in a corner. When she turned to the kitchen, Renee carried over a basin of warm water for her to wash her hands.

“There is warm water. It is cold. Your Grace, please wash your hands” Donee said. Her consideration surprised Eliza. Then, Eliza washed her hands and took her seat by the Successfully unlocked!
