However, Fane merely brushed over any sensitive topics, giving vague answers. Rudy started to frown as he listened on, feeling like Walter's friendliness was too sudden.

After they talked for a while, Walter suddenly said," Both of us want to reach the third level anyway. Fane, since you indulged me, why don't I give you a chance. The two of us can go on stage together, and I'll surrender to you and send you up. What do you think?"
