Samuel looked at Fane speechlessly. He could not figure out what Fane's temperament was like. There was no doubt about Fane's skills. He was talented whether it was on the path of a warrior or an alchemist.
Otherwise, there was no way he would have passed the test perfectly. Yet, his personality was hard to grasp. He would be calm at one moment and reckless at another. Could he really look down on the alchemists of the Unbreaking Pavilion so much?
Even if some of the alchemists from the Unbreaking Pavilion were unable to compare to Fane or unable to pass the test perfectly, there was no way they would be so bad that only two of them would be able to pass.
After all, those alchemists were all painstakingly raised by the Unbreaking Pavilion with a sea's worth of resources. Most of them had seventh-grade alchemist badges on their chests.
Fane's expression was as calm as always. It was as if those words had not been spoken by him at all. Mark's lips paled slightly, "Very good! Fane, you'd better remember what you said earlier. You have to make good on their promise and admit your mistakes later!"
Fane smiled before nodding earnestly. After that, he motioned to the condensing plate, indicating that they should not waste any time and go for the tests right away to prove their skills.
Samuel lightly snorted as he waved to the students behind him, "All of you head over first. I'll be the last one!"
If he participated in the test first, it would give the students behind him under some pressure. After thinking about it, he felt like the strongest should be the last to take the tests.
He had been so sure before because he had his own reasons. After going through the tests, he noticed that there was something very special about the entry test. Hanks to that, he was very sure that only two out of the group would be able to complete the test perfectly as he did.
In order to quickly complete the tests, Mark had arranged for them to be tested at different condensing plates. Thankfully, there were many condensing plates around the plaza. Even if the numbers that were queuing were not much, it was not little either.
Fane quietly stood on the spot as he waited for the alchemists from the Unbreaking Pavilion to queue up. He could not be bothered to spare another glance after that and instead started to talk to Rudy in a whisper.
Rudy had finally been able to summon up some spirit. Fane could tell that Rudy was incredibly sad. Failing the test had been too much of a blow to Rudy. At that moment, Fane did not want Rudy to be immersed in the pain of failure.
