The Soldier's Unsurpassable Honor novel Chapter 3944

They had thought that, even if Fane was around, they would only be able to find any news in the last two days. That was because Toman Battlefield would have shrunk several times by then. On top of that, Fane would definitely be killing the demon kings, leaving some clues behind. With that, they would be able to locate Fane.

They did not expect to be so unlucky. It had only been fourteen hours into the first day, and they already met Fane. They were so close as well! Their death was practically guaranteed!

The Soul Burst Ring was less than ten meters away from them. They were so close because Brock was sure that Fane would not be anyone who would be able to cause them any trouble. He finally realized that he was the one not worth Fane's time.

The four of them did not move at all. They were very sure that Fane would immediately attack the moment someone took a step back. If it was a normal warrior at the peak, they might have had a chance to survive if they worked together. However, Fane was not any warrior at his peak. Even Triton could not tell if he was stronger than Fane.

They were sure that Fane was definitely amongst the top rankings of all the warriors in the Whirling World. Someone like Fane would not have a difficult time even if another two warriors joined them. The moment Fane attacked, nothing good would be waiting for them.

The four of them looked like they had lost their whole families in one night. Suddenly, there was a strange silence around the place. Lourain and the others merely watch on, not saying anything. Brock's group was incredibly quiet as well. It was so quiet that even their breathing was very slow, afraid that Fane would be unhappy.

The strange silence did not last for too long. Brock was the first to lose his patience. He gulped as he stammered out, "Can you let me go? I promise you! If you let me go, I won't utter a single word about you! I'm also willing to give you my life savings. You can make me do anything. Anything is fine."

Dignity was no longer important in the face of losing one's life. Brock did not care as long as he could survive. Everything else was nowhere near as important. Lenny looked at Brock in disgust. He looked down on Brock immensely. Brock was just so incredibly selfish. Fane had not even uttered a single threat, and Brock was already betraying them. He was really despicable.
