Mindy asked. Astonishment flooded over her when she saw the calm look on Austin's face.

Although she had a dragon feminine constitution, she hadn't activated its power yet. She was currently only at level six of the Energy Gathering Realm, and a cultivator of the Earth Realm was, to her, an undefeatable enemy.

Austin, however, had killed a cultivator of the Earth Realm and a dozen his companions in just an hour. That meant Austin's power was no weaker than a cultivator of the Earth Realm, even though he was only at level nine of the Energy Gathering Realm.

A cultivator at level nine of the Energy Gathering Realm was only one step away from the Earth Realm, but there was a significant difference between the two Realms.

Many cultivators at level nine of the Energy Gathering Realm hit a bottleneck which would take them several years or even over a decade before they could reach the Earth Realm. The difficulty of this process proved a wide gap of power and skill in between the two realms.

Normally, a cultivator of the Earth Realm could easily defeat a dozen rivals at level nine of the Energy Gathering Realm. However, Austin managed to defeat a cultivator of the Earth Realm, which was a marked exception from the norm.

'He is not a simple person!' Mindy thought to herself. Ever since she met Austin, she had continuously witnessed things beyond her expectation. It amazed her how fast Austin improved in his martial arts skills and how skilled he was at fighting. Now she was further shocked by the fact that he was able to kill a cultivator of the Earth Realm. Without any doubt in her mind, she believed that Austin would reach the top of the hierarchy in the near future.

With these things in her mind, Mindy couldn't help but think of how fortunate she was to become Austin's friend. A friend with such promise would only provide her with benefits in the future. With a knowing glint in her eyes, her gaze turned to Austin.

Austin didn't mention anything about Violet who had already returned into his Space Ring, and Mindy didn't ask him about that as well. Everyone had his or her own secret, and Mindy didn't think that their relationship was close enough to share everything with each other.

In the next two days, Austin and Mindy stayed near the Mysterious Ancient Well and waited for the twin blossoms to blossom.

The temperature around the well changed dramatically every 5 minutes. Extreme coldness and extreme heat could be felt alternately. They had to keep a distance from the well in order not to be affected by the strange fluctuating temperature.

An hour before the midnight of the third day, Mindy suddenly squealed.

"It's time to go into the well now. The twin blossoms are about to blossom!" Excitement was evident in her voice.

The exact moment she finished what she was saying, the air around the well became turbulent, and the change of temperature became irregular.

The extreme coldness spread out from inside the well so strongly that the stone edge of the well froze immediately. But before the ice grew thick, the temperature rose so fast that it quickly melted the ice and turned into vapor.

After that, icy winds blew and froze the water vapor again. On and on, the cycle continued.

As the temperature changed quickly between hot and cold, the scene around the well also changed magically. Both Austin and Mindy were taken aback by what they saw.

Seeing what was happening, both became worried about how going into the well would affect their bodies.

But nonetheless, since they were both fearless people who would never hesitate in the face of danger, they took a deep breath and got ready to enter the well.

"Let's go!"

Austin moved first and quickly approached the well. All at once, he was overwhelmed by the changing temperatures and had to stop and brace himself.

Gritting her teeth, Mindy followed him to the edge of the well. They looked into the darkness that they were about to jump into.

The width of the well was about the span of an adult's arms. Hot steam and frosty air swirled together, rising from inside the well, intertwined like twins coming out of their mother's womb.

With one swift motion, Austin leapt, and his body fell into the well. Closely behind him was Mindy, who jumped after Austin did.

As they dropped towards the bottom of the well, they both felt the wind getting both hotter and cooler.
