"Stay together and work together!" one governing god of the face race called out.
The other seven governing gods then all rushed over at once.
Boom...
Seven enormous mouths, colossal enough to envelope the sky and the sun, pounced on Austin.
In an instant, they devoured a large portion of the space, swallowing it whole.
The eight faces then combined their suction power together to create an astonishing force that pulled at Austin like a passing tornado.
"Awesome!"
Austin used his bodily movement skill to travel through space and time rapidly, getting himself out of the way.
The Shadowless Movement, the Reincarnation Token, and all kinds of original chaotic laws related to the speed of bodily movement were put into effect. He seemed to leave nothing to chance here.
His movements were extremely erratic and quick, his every step taking him to another space and time.
The eight governing gods of the face race couldn't keep up with him or nail down any kind of accurate tracking on Austin.
"Form an array!"
one of the governing gods shouted on realizing they were getting nowhere.
A dense, pitch-black mist then flowed from the mouths of the governing gods, surging across everything in sight and covering it all.
In a matter of moments, the void had been filled to the brim with this mist, so dark and thick, that no one could even see their own fingers in front of them.
The most terrifying part was that the mist was impenetrable with spiritual sense, rendering people incapable of sensing their surroundings in the void.
"I must admit, I did not expect the face race to have such a terrible array," a wood puppet said, his voice filled with surprise.
The eight governing gods of the wood puppet race were all shocked and wore serious, concerned frowns on their faces.
Even they were unable to perceive anything within this array.
It had to have been an incredibly impressive one to stop even them from getting their bearings.
"Hahaha...
Let's see where you can hide now, you human brat!"
A cold voice and wild laughter echoed ominously through the shroud of dark mist.
Boom! Boom! Boom...
Eight huge mouths snapped continuously, here and there throughout the mist, searching for Austin.
The eight governing gods of the face race were on a wild hunt for Austin in the array.
They themselves were able to perceive things in the mist quite clearly, while the rest were left lost, unaware and blind as bats.
"Austin, be careful!"
the Eight Stone Saints yelled in warning, worried for his safety.
"This array is very strange," the gnome said frowning.
He seemed perplexed and deep in thought.
He possessed a talent for the law of space. Ordinary arrays could not entrap him.
And yet, even he felt at a loss when faced with this massive array conjured by the eight governing gods of the face race.
'This dark fog contains a very special strange law that's capable of blocking out this entire space.
Even I can't get through its barrier.
I'm afraid Austin is in serious trouble now,'
the gnome thought worriedly to himself.
"It seems possible we might fail to fulfil the mission this time," said a wood puppet.
The eight governing gods of the wood puppet race were worried as well. Things were not looking good for any of them.
"Let's move! Get together and help Austin fight back against these foes!"
This was a crucial moment and the Eight Stone Saints knew it. They waved their large sticks in their hands, ready to rush to Austin's aid.
"This battle is between those at the level of governing gods. If you got involved, you'd only be charging towards your own death,"
the gnome reminded, stopping them in their tracks before they could do anything rash.
"But we can't just stand by and do nothing but watch Austin face this danger on his own!"
Asa roared with discontent.
"That's right, we can't,"
the other seven Stone Saints added, all nodding in agreement.
"You really are as stubborn as rocks!"
the gnome responded, shaking his head, displeased by their lack of foresight.
"You eight old bastards! If it weren't for your goddam wood puppet race, Austin would not have stepped in and offended the face race, and you still have the nerve to stand by and do nothing, as if this has nothing to do with you! Go help him!" Conor snarled.
He could not help but boil over in anger when he saw the eight governing gods of the wood puppet race standing aside and doing nothing.
"Let's help Austin fight back!"
Asa cried out, waving his hands to his companions, rallying them behind him.
