"Ha-ha-ha! They really have given up on chasing us!"
Austin exclaimed, surprised to see the vicious pack of ice wolves suddenly halting.
"So do you believe me now?
As long as we're not on that plateau, they don't care about us.
Borders of territory are very clear on the Frigid Continent. The plateau is dominated by the wolves, and naturally they attack any trespassers.
Anywhere outside of it though, they won't make any moves on anyone,"
Anakin explained with a smile.
"It really was bad luck being discovered by those beasts. Luckily, we've gotten away from the danger now.
We've finally escaped!"
Cayden said, relieved and happy.
"We have Austin to thank for that. It's because of him we got out of there safely without any of us being eaten.
Cayden, you were really careless back there.
How could you be so reckless to try and fight them? That put us all in a lot of danger.
Fortunately, Austin was able to help us, or we would have been dead for sure.
You have to calm that temper of yours,"
Anakin said sternly, shooting a serious glance at his brother.
"I know. It was my fault. I'm sorry, guys."
Cayden felt his guilt panging in his heart, and hung his head low as he apologized to the others.
"All right, well, we're all safe now.
Let's not talk about it anymore,"
said the water source beast.
"Right, we have more important things to do. Let's hurry and save Braden,"
Anakin said, nodding and moving on.
He strode on ahead, leading the way, followed by Cayden, Austin and the water source beast.
They encountered several more dangers in the days that followed. But they were able to save themselves every time.
The group passed through all sorts of terrain on the Frigid Continent, none of them knowing how long they'd been travelling.
One day, Anakin suddenly seemed to cheer up.
"We're almost there!
Braden is trapped in those ruins in front of us,"
he cried out joyfully, pointing at the rolling mountains in front of them.
Austin raised his head and looked over at the sprawling mountain range ahead.
Nestled in it were many abandoned and run-down buildings, palaces and platforms. It was clear they were once magnificent structures, but time and who knows what else had taken their toll. They were now collapsed, desolate ruins.
To Austin's surprise, the architecture appeared to be that of the human warriors.
'Could it be that humans had once lived there?'
Austin wondered.
"Attention, everyone. Those ruins may not look dangerous, but there are all manner of terrifyingly powerful arrays inside.
If we're not careful, with our strength, we'll be trapped or even killed by them.
We must be on high alert and watch our step!"
Anakin explained, his tone grave and his face gloomy.
"My brothers and I used to pass by here fairly often and became curious about this place. We decided to explore it, but accidentally triggered an array. Braden was trapped. Cayden and I spent a lot of time and even more methods to try and get him out, but we still could not save him.
To this day, he is still trapped in that array,"
Anakin continued morosely.
"Let's have a look."
Austin nodded his understanding and began making for the mountains.
He was feeling quite confident, now that his cultivation of arrays had reached a very high level.
Anakin, Cayden and the water source beast followed behind him cautiously.
