Chapter 2892 Mateo let out a faint smirk before slowly straightening his back.
“Don’t you worry, Young Master Leo. I was slow, but I’ll make sure to complete my mission as soon as possible!”
“Give me two more days! I’ll show you a whole new Hong Kong!”
“I hope so,” Jason drawled.
“But even if you can’t do that, it wouldn’t matter.”
“There are some things I should’ve handled myself in the first place.”
Jason then flicked the ash off of his cigar before making a gesture, signaling to Mateo to follow him outside.
“Back then, I was considered a young and vigorous man when I came to the Leo family from Hong Kong,” Jason narrated calmly as he walked.
“The family despised me, but I still fought bravely for the Leo name. I was prideful!” “I wanted the Leo family to be the top rated family in both Hong Kong and Las Vegas!” “I reshaped the entire business structure for the Leo family, letting the family flourish and prosper. The
family’s riches, authority, and power made us the head of the top four families of Hong Kong!” “We were this close to taking away the position of the Yorks of Hong Kong…” “But it’s a damn shame. The family still despised me after all that.”
“They think I belong to The Empire, even though I’m from the same family…”
“They were afraid of me being the head of the family if I kept getting stronger and stronger…”
“In their eyes, no matter how strong I was, no matter how capable I was, it meant nothing.”
“They would only be at ease if they had total control over everything I worked for!”
“Finally, something happened during the night I got engaged to Queenie from the Yorks of Hong Kong…”
“After I got drunk, I was thrown on the bed of a distant cousin and was caught soon after.”
Jason scoffed.
“What a simple plan… That night, my limbs were all broken by the Leo family before I was thrown out like a rabid dog on the street.”
“In a single night, I turned from Hong Kong’s new upstart into a f*cking street rat.”
“I was thrown into the Hong Kong Imperial Prison the very next day.”
“But I got lucky. There, I met my savior…”
