Chapter 4024
After the phone got hung up, Grandma Cobb could sense that she was in danger.
If he wasn’t dead, she knew he would surely chase her to the ends of the earth..
She was glad she had planned everything out beforehand.
She had already made arrangements for the worst–case scenario. The Diamond Cruise was about to set sail….
She’d be able to do anything after getting to America.
‘Even if he’s that powerful, there’s no way he’d chase me all the way there!”
“Why are we running, Grandma Cobb? Don’t we look guilty just by doing this?”
“Besides, without any solid proof, Harvey can’t just kill us in Blackburn City even if everything fails!” Valery exclaimed with a frown.
“Blackburn City belongs to the South Sea! A man from Country H wouldn’t dare be so reckless!”
Valery didn’t want to doubt Grandma Cobb’s speculation….
However, the Cobb family’s property belonged only to the second house.
Because of the recent series of events, Grandma Cobb was scared witless.
The old woman spent the remainder of her life savings just to buy some tickets to save their lives.
Valery found it hard to accept that fact..
Not only did this mean that they’d have to spend the rest of their lives away from home…
They also wouldn’t be able to spend the rest of their lives enjoying their glory and riches.
“I only contacted the leader of the Seven Absolutes through a single–line phone. He won’t leave any trails behind…”
“I only used bank accounts from abroad to transfer the money as well. The money’s gone around quite a bit. There won’t be a single piece of evidence left to find.”
“But that said, do you really think that Harvey would just wait until he has proof before coming for us?”
“If we didn’t kneel in front of him before, we would’ve been six feet under by now!”
“You think he’s just going to wait until the law comes for us, especially when we’ve hired killers against him?!”
“If he believes that we were the ones who did it, for the sake of Dean and Katy’s safety, he won’t stop until he deals with us!”
“If I didn’t plan for this ahead of time, we would’ve been done for!”
“It doesn’t matter if I die, but you two are still young. You can’t just die like this!”
