Chapter 5004
Aunt Witby and Elodie Jean were naturally a part of the ninth branch.
The call was too sudden. Even Mandy Zimmer was not able to return to her senses.
“That can’t be a coincidence…” said Harvey York calmly.
“Reuben’s here as soon as Elodie got sent in? He even asked for the entire ninth branch to welcome him…
“He’s basically forcing us to bail Elodie out!
“Impressive!
“What a move…”
Harvey sighed.
“Then, I’ll get Elodie out,” he said, not wanting to make things any harder for Mandy.
Mandy let out a bitter chuckle.
“You don’t have to.
“Mother already bailed out Elodie and Aunt Witby before calling me. She begged the police for that, proving the theft was just a big misunderstanding.
“They’re heading to the airport now, and here we are…”
Harvey did not think that Lilian Yates still had feelings toward Aunt Witby.
But since the two were quite close, it was only natural for a like- minded person to be in distress.
Along with the situation at hand, Harvey decided to let it go for now.
“I’ll go with you then,” decided Harvey after pondering for a moment.
Mandy shook her head.
“You have too big of a grudge against Elodie. She’ll surely make things difficult for you if you go…
“And since Reuben Jean, her biggest support’s here…
“I was the one who caused all this. I can’t just let you take all the heat for me.”
Harvey merely smiled.
A bald monk with a cold glare was standing behind him.
He was wearing a robe with a distant yet arrogant gaze of an expert martial artist.
Despite his ordinary clothing, anyone could sense his fierce aura.
People who passed by would not even dare look him straight in the eye.
The ones who mustered the courage to take pictures were also dragged away by their friends.
In any case, the monk was an expert who was most likely unrivaled.
“How dare you, Mandy?!
“Elder Rueben is a supporter of the ninth branch!
“And yet you don’t even have a sliver of respect towards him!
“It doesn’t make any sense!”
Elodie started fanning the flames as soon as she saw Mandy’s face.
