At midnight.
Harvey and the rest of the Zimmers arrived at the funeral parlor.
The police left as soon as they got there.
Harvey stopped one of the leaving cars to ask about the situation.
According to the autopsy, Aung fell into a ditch and drowned after getting drunk. For an expert like him, dying in such a way was plain embarrassing.
But for the police, the case was over since the mystery was solved.
Harvey gave his thanks before heading into the parlor with the others.
The usually quiet place was filled with noise. Those who didn’t know would assume that the entire place was a night market.
Harvey and the others arrived at the morgue, and discovered that there were a lot of people inside. Aside from the higher – ups, Reuben and Elodie were there as well.
Reuben was holding a string of beads, his expression horrible. No matter what, Aung had been with him for the longest time and was his most trusted subordinate, after all.
It was only natural for Reuben to get angry after Aung died so suddenly.
His strength had greatly decreased, since Aung was such a powerful fighter for him. It’d be odd if he wasn’t sad.
Elodie stared at the cold coffin with a miserable look. Even so, it was quite obvious that she was just pretending.
Harvey glanced at the crowd calmly, then looked at Aung’s corpse.
Aung’s face was completely swollen, but his expression was filled with rage. The stench of alcohol wafted all the way from his body. It seemed like the police were right about their deduction.
“How…? How did he die so suddenly…?” Reuben slowly put his beads in Aung’s hand.
“You’re still so young!”
“Don’t be sad, Elder Reuben! Master Aung wouldn’t want to see you like this, either!” Elodie cried.
She went to lift Reuben up.
