“But did you manage to keep your end of the bargain? Did you have fun at the ball? At the food festival? At the arcade? What other social rights do you have?” Hendrix questioned. 

He chuckled while adding, “Noelle, do you really think you’re irreplaceable?” 

Having known him for so long, this seemed to be the most Noelle ever heard Hendrix say to her. However, each word seemed like a sharp knife, piercing directly into her heart. 

Noelle had known from the beginning that Hendrix was haighty and aloof, but he usually concealed that side of him. But at that moment, he was no longer hiding it.
