“Hendrix,” Sandra couldn’t help but call out, her voice thick with grievance.
Only then did Hendrix seem to snap out of his thoughts. He glanced at her briefly before handing her the gift in his hand. “Congratulations.”

Just then, Maxwell stepped forward.
“Mr. Freeman, welcome,” he said, shaking his hand.
“Why isn’t Mr. Brandon here on such an important day?” Yonne suddenly asked.
“He’s on a business trip,” Maxwell replied with a smile. “The company has a project launching in Sintrun, so he went for the opening ceremony.”
Yvonne was taken aback. “What kind of major project requires Mr. Brandon’s involvement?”
Maxwell didn’t elaborate, simply offering a faint smile.
Hendrix suddenly understood something.
By now, the main event of the engagement banquet had concluded, leaving only mingling and small talk among the guests.
As the leader of Coppersville’s business industry, Hendrix’s presence immediately drew everyone’s attention in the room. However, what piqued their interest even more was Yvonne’s hand casually looped through his arm.
This sight inevitably drew the gaze of those from the Swanson family. It seemed that the Swanson family’s connection to Hendrix was indeed a thing of the past. After all, even Noelle hadn’t shown up today–likely to avoid becoming the subject of ridicule.

Hendrix simply hummed as a reply.
“It seems your relationship with Sandra is quite special. You still made time to attend her engagement despite your busy schedule.”
Hendrix
expression remained neutral. “We’re just ordinary friends.”

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
