Hendrix walked over and knocked on the door, calling out, Noelle.”
There was no answer.
He frowned. When he knocked on the door again and received no response, he lost his patience. He lifted his leg and was about to kick the door open when Noelle opened it,
Hendrix quickly regained his composure and stared at her.
Her face looked calm. “No.”
Hendrix squinted his eyes.
Noelle handed him the pregnancy test and said, “Mr. Freeman, you can rest assured now.”
Hendrix looked at the single red line on the test.
“Go to the hospital for a checkup tomorrow. This might not be accurate,” said Hendrix.
“No,” replied Noelle.
Hendrix frowned once again.
“This is the result,” said Noelle. “I just have stomach issues. The last time… It couldn’t be.”
“I will pick you up at 8:00 am tomorrow.”
Hendrix didn’t want to keep this up with her. He left after saying that.
“Then, I shall go by myself,” said Noelle.
Hendrix stopped and looked at her.
“I will tell you if it’s true,” she said.
“What is the meaning of this?”
“Hendrix, we have nothing to do with each other anymore, and there are many people in the hospital. I don’t want any slip–ups.”
Noelle’s words were clear that she wanted to draw a line with him.
Hendrix used to find her boring and traditional, but today, e realized that she was very decisive.
To be honest, he liked things to be clear–cut, too. But for some reason, when he saw how determined she was, he felt a little upset. It was like he was being dumped by her like a useless thing
“Do you still have any questions, Mr. Freeman?” asked Noelle.
Hendrix stared at her for a moment before he said, “It’s fine if you don’t want me around you, but I will ask my assistant to be with you.”
With that, Noelle’s expression dropped.
Hendrix seemed to understand something suddenly, and the smile on his lips deepened. He didn’t say anything anymore and just left.
Since this was confirmed, then he had someone arrange for it immediately.
This time, he had arrived in a hurry, and the people from the main office would definitely not be able to catch up, but Amity Group had a subsidiary here. He had someone arrange for a female assistant, which was more than enough.
When Hendrix specified he wanted a female assistant, the people at the subsidiary thought they had caught an incredible opportunity and immediately began making arrangements for him.

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
