Noelle remained silent. She wanted to explain, but she just didn’t know how to start. But when the words reached her lips, she ultimately said nothing, quietly swallowing her voice instead. 

Hendrix had probably long forgotten these things. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have suggested vacationing in that same place. 

So, Noelle understood that what they once called their “intense” emotions was nothing but an illusion, because if he truly liked her, he wouldn’t have forgotten about this incident. 

Just like her when she liked him, she wanted to engrave every moment and every detail of their time together into her memory. But Hendrix didn’t, which meant he never really liked her. 

He had chosen her, but it was only because of the compatibility of their bodies. 

This time, Noelle came to Dynalis alone, but she had meticolously planned her trip. She even found a professional local guide online. 

The guide was a student studying abroad, sporting clean, short hair and exuding a warm and outgoing personality. 

“Are you Noelle Swanson?” As soon as Noelle retrieved her suitcase, the guide approached her, holding a sign with Noelle’s name written on it. 

“Hi, I’m Seline Swift. We contacted each other before.” 

Noelle nodded. “Alright.” 

“I have booked the hotel for you. Let’s go,” Seline spoke while leading her. 

She was a professional guide, chatting with Noelle along the way about the local scenery and even asking about her dietary preferences to plan suitable restaurants. 

“Tomorrow, we’ll start with Amberleaf Chapel,” Seline said. “It’s a workday, so it shouldn’t be too crowded. The place has been incredibly popular these past two years. It’s impossible to get in during holidays.” 

“Alright.” Noelle had no objections. 

Seline noticed Noelle’s aloofness but wisely chose to keep quiet. 

Fortunately, the next two days went relatively smoothly. While Noelle seemed disinterested in everything, she never objected to Seline’s plans. Seline had navigated this itinerary countless times, making everything run seamlessly. 

That was until the third day when Noelle bumped into Hendrix at a bar. 

He wasn’t alone. Beside him stood someone Noelle was all too familiar with–Sandra. 

At that moment, Seline was enthusiastically explaining the unique offerings of the bar. 

Over the past few days, even though Noelle’s interest in anything seemed minimal, she had at least responded to Seline’s remarks. But now, she did not respond at all. 

Seline glanced curiously at Noelle, sensing the tension in the air. She was about to ask something when Sandra walked over with a bright, saccharine smile. 

“Noelle, what a coincidence!” 

Noelle remained silent, her face devoid of expression.
