Oliver walked right by her side.
After Noelle’s last “reminder,” he no longer pried or gossiped about the relationship between though his gaze kept darting toward her on the way, his expression hesitant.

It wasn’t until Noelle rolled her eyes at him that he finally stopped.
To Noelle’s surprise, tonight’s dinner was uneventful.
As the host, Julio focused on discussing the details of the collaboration with Hendrix, while Noelle, as an accompanying member, only needed to chime in occasionally or join in a toast.
Throughout the evening, Hendrix barely gave her a glance.
But Noelle quickly understood why and recalled her last conversation with him.
Even if he was unwilling, Hendrix was not the type of person who would run back to his ex. He wouldn’t date her again. He would not, and his ego would not allow it, either.
Thinking of this, Noelle let out a sigh of relief.
Right at that moment, her phone rang. The ringtone broke the jolly atmosphere of the private room.
Noelle quickly stood up with her phone in her hand. “Sorry Let me answer this.”
“Your
boyfriend?” Julio asked with a smile. “Is he checking up on you?”
Noelle just s
smiled, nodded briefly to the others, and stepped out with her phone.
The caller was indeed Dylan. He asked why she hadn’t retumed when it was already late.
“There’s a dinner.”
“Not over yet?”
“Mm–hmm, should be wrapping up soon,” Noelle answered casually.
However, the person on the other end didn’t seem satisfied and reminded her, “You’re still coughing.”
“I know. I didn’t drink much.”
“Where are you? I’ll come pick you up.‘
Noelle originally wanted to say no, but after a pause, she changed her mind. “I’m not sure when it’ll end yet. I’ll call you when it’s almost over.”
“Alright. Drink less and don’t smoke.”
“Got it.”
Noelle had actually taken out a cigarette and lighter, but after hearing Dylan’s words, she chuckled softly and agreed before hanging up.
Since she had already promised him, she had no intention of going against it. She put the items back and turned to return to the private room.
But as soon as she pushed open the door, she noticed something was off.
Only Hendrix was left inside the room.

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
