“He agreed to it?” Dylan asked.
Noelle didn’t seem to be in the right state of mind, so Dylan did not rush to push her. He only asked that question when they arrived at Galaxy Grove.
Noelle was still in a daze, but she nodded.
“Are you still feeling uncomfortable?”
Dylan reached out to caress her cheeks.
This sudden movement spooked Noelle, and her body tensed up. But before she could dodge it, Dylan had already withdrawn his hand.
“Thank goodness your fever did not come back.” Dylan retreated two steps and said, “But still, rest more.”
Noelle nodded.
Before she went to her room, she turned around and said, “Thank you.”
Dylan raised an eyebrow and asked, “Did you thank Hendrix a lot when you were with him?”
Noelle didn’t expect him to ask this question, so she didn’t know what to say.
Dylan continued asking, “I’m actually quite curious. If Hendrix hadn’t agreed to your conditions, would you still report him?”
“1… I will,” answered Noelle, but her voice was weak. It was as if she wasn’t sure of it herself as well.
Dylan just looked at her and smiled. “Hmm, that’s good. Rest well.”
Then, he went to his own room
Noelle remained in the same spot. After a moment, she pulled herself together and went back to her own room,
too.
Her thoughts had been all over the place ever since she was discharged. It was all because of the talk with Hendrix tonight.
She had thought that she would need to say a lot. However, Hendrix agreed to her conditions way too easily–so easily that she didn’t even get to say what she had prepared.
At this moment, she was very exhausted, but she still couldn’t fall asleep.
Dylan’s words lingered in her ears, too.
If Hendrix hadn’t agreed…
To be honest, Noelle did not think of this possibility before she met him. Would she really send him to the police station?
Although she answered Dylan’s question very quickly, there was a voice telling her that she would not. It was because he was Hendrix, her ex–husband, and the person she really loved before.
This was also why she’d rather hurt herself that time.
Noelle turned her body around and slowly opened her eyes, staring out of the window.

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
