with him.
“Jeez, who are you?” The man did not want to back down, and he chased after them. “Don’t you know what’s first come, first served?”
Hendrix’s coat was draped over Noelle, leaving him in just shirt. However, his imposing presence was enough to make the man in front of him inexplicably lose confidence,
Still, the man refused to back down, stubbornly straightening his neck as he locked eyes with Hendrix.
“I’m her ex–husband. Is there a problem?” Hendrix asked.
“Ex–husband? Her boyfriend didn’t even say anything. Who do you think you are?” The man’s back straightened instantly as he spoke, reaching out to grab Noelle’s other hand.
Hendrix’s face darkened. Without a second thought, he raised his foot and kicked the man hard.
He didn’t hold back, and the man, clearly losing balance, was sent flying several steps backward.
The loud commotion drew everyone’s attention, accompanied by a few startled screams.
“Fuck!” The man felt humiliated. He cursed and immediately grabbed a chair nearby, swinging it at Hendrix.
Hendrix promptly pushed Noelle aside, and the chair smashed against his arm.

The scene became chaotic.
When Hendrix kicked the man back to the ground again, he suddenly realized that the person behind him was gone. His expression changed instantly as he whipped around, only to see Noelle already at the bar’s entrance.
Sensing his gaze, Noelle even turned to smile at him before decisively walking out the door.
Hendrix froze for a moment. It was then that he understood–she had done it on purpo

An hour later, Hendrix came out of the police station.
Lana happened to arrive at that moment. When she saw Hendrix’s hand wrapped in bandages, her eyes immediately reddened as she rushed toward him. “Are you okay? Does it hurt?”
Hendrix quickly pushed her away, his gaze carrying a clear warning.
Lana froze for a moment, then she stammered an explanation, “I–I just finished filming, and they said you were here, so I thought I’d come and check on you.”
“I’m fine. You can go back now,” Hendrix said as he got into the car.

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
