The Pritchett family’s villa was located in the outskirts of Coppersville. Nestled against the mountains, the view from the upper floors of the villa looked out over a lake in the distance. The surroundings and air were both pristine and refreshing. 

This was Noelle’s second time visiting. For the occasion, she had even gone to the mall to buy some gifts. Roland’s was a selection of supplements, while Leah’s gifts were a set of makeup and a scarf. 

Noelle wasn’t sure what Dylan had discussed with them the night before, but when she arrived today, Leah’s attitude toward her was noticeably warmer. At least when Noelle greeted her, Leah responded with a nod. 

It was clear that what Dylan wanted was just a formality–apolite exchange for appearances. After a bit of small talk, they all moved into the dining room. 

Roland Pritchett had previously taught at a university, but seemed he knew quite a bit about the business world as well. Once they were seated, he quickly brought up the Continental Reach project. 

“It’s going pretty smoothly,” Noelle replied. “After I return, I’ll be preparing for the water and soil surveys.” 

“Mm, you’ve only been with the company for a few months yet you’re already involved in such a major project. I got to say, that’s quite impressive.” 

Noelle couldn’t tell if it was just her imagination, but there seemed to be something more behind Roland’s words, At that moment, Leah also looked up at her. 

Noelle gave a slight smile. “I suppose there’s a bit of luck involved, too.” 

“Luck is also part of skill.” 

Noelle just smiled in return. 

Dylan quickly changed the subject. “I’ll be flying to Wistoria next month. Is there anything you two need me to bring back?” 

“Why are you flying again?” Leah asked, clearly displeased. “You just got back not long ago. When will you ever settle down?” 

“We’re at a critical stage right now, where we need to compare and exchange multiple sets of data. Besides, I’m going over there to learn as well.” 

“Next month, you say? What date? Why don’t you two just go ahead and get married before then?” 

Leah’s words left everyone momentarily stunned. 

Noelle’s and Dylan’s reactions were especially noticeable. Roland frowned slightly but didn’t comment. 

Dylan glanced at Noelle before asking Leah, “Why bring this up all of a sudden?” 

“You and Noelle seem to be in a stable relationship now, and you’re turning 35 years old this year. If you don’t get married soon, everyone will be holding their grandkids while your son’s still in kindergarten. 

“Why don’t you two have a courthouse marriage first, then have a child? I know you’re both busy with work, so your dad and I will take care of the baby. You won’t need to worry about anything.” 

Leah finished laying out her plan in one breath and then smiled at Noelle. “What do you think?” 

Noelle was about to respond, but Dylan suddenly placed his hand on hers and gently stroked her hand before turning to Leah.
