When Noelle returned home, the place was pitch–dark, so she naturally assumed Hendrix had already left. But just as she raised her hand to turn on the lights, his voice suddenly came from the darkness. 

He asked, “You’re back?” 

Noelle jumped in surprise, her hand instinctively pressing the switch. The living room lit up instantly, revealing the figure sitting on the couch and his intense gaze. 

Noelle immediately frowned. 

“Where did you go tonight? Did you have fun?” he asked again. 

Noelle didn’t answer him and instead shot back, “Why are you still here?“.

“Who gave you permission to move in?” she asked. 

Hendrix said nothing. 

For some reason, Noelle looked at him and almost felt like he seemed…. hurt? But as soon as the thought surfaced, she quickly shut it down. She was really losing it. How could she feel sorry for Hendrix? 

Still, she didn’t have the energy to argue with him. She pointed toward the guest room. “Put your things over there” 

After saying that, Noelle walked toward her bedroom, and Hendrix quickly got up to follow her. 

“What are you trying to do now?” Noelle stopped and watched him warily. 

“Do you have any antacids?” he asked. “I didn’t have dinner so my stomach hurts now.” 

Noelle choked for a moment but quickly replied, “You can have someone deliver it to you. 

“I don’t know how.” 

“Then, have your assistant do it.” 

With that, she shut the door behind her. 

Hendrix stared at the still door in front of him, suddenly realizing that this fast–paced, convenient lifestyle had its downsides. For example, right now, he didn’t really need medicine delivery. But since he had already spoken, he could only do as Noelle suggested and took out his phone to order. 

While entering the address, he knocked on Noelle’s bedroom door again, but she didn’t answer. After waiting for a while, Hendrix reached out and turned the doorknob–the door wasn’t locked. 

Once inside, Hendrix realized she was in the ensuite bathroom taking a shower. The frosted glass revealed a hazy silhouette, accompanied by the soft sound of water. Hendrik watched the figure for quite a while. 

He was familiar with her body, so familiar that the frosted glass seemed transparent to him. He could easily picture what was happening inside his mind, and his body’s reaction was often quicker than his mind.

The next moment, he reached out and pushed open the bat room door. Startled, Noelle let out a scream and instinctively covered her body. 

Hendrix’s Adam’s apple moved slightly, but he still came up with a lame excuse. “I wasn’t sure how to fill in the delivery address.” 

“Get out!” Noelle shouted loudly and then threw a towel at his face. 

Hendrix had just reached out to pull the towel off when Nole was already walking over. Her cheeks still carried a faint flush from the steam, and water droplets were falling from the ends of her hair. 

Before Hendrix could see clearly, Noelle had already shoved him out and slammed the door shut with a loud bang. The force was so hard that it caused the glass to shake slightly.
