Noelle fell silent.
But Hendrix suddenly chuckled. He thought as much. Since when had she become so compliant?
Agreeing to have dinner with him when he asked, changing her clothes without a word of protest, and even those sweet, placating words and that hug from earlier.
Hendrix slowly clenched his teeth. At that moment, everything felt unbearably ironic and ridiculous to him–truly ridiculous.

Hendrix felt something spreading rapidly with him–jealousy, rage, and pain. All these emotions intertwined, coursing through his veins and flooding his entire body, making his hands and feet tremble uncontrollably.
And in that instant, a singular, piercing thought took root in his mind–Dylan had to die.
It was no longer enough for Dylan to simply step aside. No longer enough for him to disappear from Hendrix and Noelle’s world. Hendrix wanted Dylan gone from this world entirely, in the most literal sense.
He immediately took out his phone. His emotions surged so fiercely that his fingers trembled uncontrollably. His mind, momentarily blank, couldn’t seem to find the number he was looking for, no matter how hard he tried.
Noelle noticed something was wrong and immediately stepped forward to press down on his hand.
“Let go,” Hendrix ordered coldly.
“What are you trying to do?” Noelle asked him.
Hendrix clenched his teeth even tighter.
He thought Noelle still understood him, after all. But that understanding, at this moment, had turned into concern for Dylan.
The flames of jealousy and rage in his heart flared even more wildly. Yet, Hendrix appeared increasingly calm, his face utterly devoid of any emotions.
“What do you think?”
Noelle bit her lips before replying, “What are you planning to do to Dylan?”
Hendrix laughed coldly. “I want him dead.”
“Hendrix!”
“You think I can’t do it?”
Hendrix reached out
grab Noelle’s neck. Her slender neck rested in his palm, so fragile that it seemed a mere squeeze could snap it in an instant. At this moment, he could even feel her pulse beating under his palm.
He gritted his teeth even tighter, but in the end, he only grasped her chin,

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
