Noelle had been wandering outside for a while. When she returned, Beatrice had already come out.

Noelle nodded:
“It must have been exhausting for you to take care of Hendrix all this time,” Beatrice continued. “He’s not the type to sit still and do nothing. Even in this state, he’s still working every day. You’ll have to keep an eye on him for me.”
Noelle wanted to say that their relationship wasn’t at that level yet, but since Beatrice had already asked her to do so, she could only nod stiffly.
“I understand, Mrs. Freeman.”
“Although your wedding was disrupted, I’m still glad that this situation helped you both see each other’s true feelings.”
As she spoke, Beatrice reached out to take Noelle’s hand. “Promise me you two will live happily ever after together, okay?”
Her tone was solemn, and her gaze was equally serious.
Noelle’s heart skipped a beat. After a moment, she slowly nodded.
The smile on Beatrice’s face deepened at her response.
Truthfully, Noelle didn’t even know why she had agreed to Beatrice’s request.
When she returned to the hospital room, Hendrix was, as expected, sitting there working-
Noelle didn’t say anything. She just walked over and quietly began packing her things.
Hendrix watched her movements from where she sat. It was only when Noelle turned to leave that he suddenly reached out and grabbed her hand.
“Where are you going?
“Back home.”
“It’s still early. Why are you leaving now?”
“It’s not like you need someone to take care of you, right?” Noelle glanced at the documents in his hand. “You seem to be working just fine.”
Hendrix was momentarily stunned before realizing she was venting her frustration at him.
A smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he closed the file “Alright. I’ll stop working.”
“You can work all you want,” Noelle said. “It’s not like I’m stopping you.”
Hendrix didn’t respond. He just set the documents aside and tightened his grip on her hand. Noelle didn’t pull away. She simply stood by his bed, letting him hold her.

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
