Hendrix didn’t seem to hear Olivia at first.
Olivia bit her lip and called out again, “Mr. Freeman!”
This time, Hendrix turned around quickly. When he saw her, he immediately frowned.
The person on the phone asked curiously, “Did I just hear a woman’s voice? So, you finally couldn’t keep it in your pants, huh?”
Hendrix didn’t respond. Instead, he simply hung up and looked at Olivia.
“Can you please help me?” Olivia’s voice was hoarse, and her eyes were slightly reddened.
“I didn’t date Nathan out of my own free will. That night, he took me to a hotel after getting me drunk, and then… he took compromising photos of me. I’m really scared, Mr. Freeman. Please, help me, okay?”
Tears streamed down her face as she spoke.
Hendrix simply stood there, watching her silently.
“I can’t tell my parents. You’re the only one I can turn to. Mr. Freeman, I’m begging you, please…”
Olivia took a few steps toward him as she pleaded.
But Hendrix reacted quickly–he immediately took two steps back to avoid her. At the same time, his frown deepened.
Understanding his unspoken message, Olivia quickly stopped in her tracks. “I–I didn’t mean it like that, but I really am out of options.”
“I’ll talk to Nathan about this,” he said.
Olivia’s eyes immediately lit up at his words. “Really?”
“Yes.”
“Oh, thank you! Thank you so much!”

A smile instantly spread across Olivia’s face. She seemed to want to reach out and grab his hand but quickly thought better of it. Her hand hovered awkwardly in the air before she finally pulled it back.
Then, she smiled at Hendrix again, but he simply walked past her without another word.
Olivia knew his help wasn’t out of affection for her. It was just that he didn’t want her to get tangled up in his family’s affairs. Even so, she was grateful toward him.
After all, he could have easily chosen not to help her like last time. But this time, he had stepped in.
With that thought in mind, Olivia couldn’t help but admire his retreating figure for a few moments.
Just then, another voice rang out, “What did he say to you to have you so charmed?”
Olivia’s expression immediately changed when she heard Nathan’s voice. She quickly lowered her head.
She was truly afraid of him, her fear of him deep and visceral. At that moment, she didn’t even dare to look at him.
Nathan didn’t seem to mind. He casually slung an arm over her shoulders. “What did he promise you just now?”
“No… Nothing-” stammered Olivia, but Nathan cut her off before she could finish.

Like how the story is progressing now but why is the author only releasing 3 chapters at a time? this is torture😩😩...
Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
