The moment Olivia locked eyes with Noelle, she found herself struck mute.
“Ms. Garnet?” Noelle called her again.
Olivia finally snapped out of it, her gaze lifting to meet Noelle’s. After a moment, she said, “I’m here because of Mr. Freeman.”
Noelle remained silent.
Olivia took a deep breath and said, “I know you’re married to him, and I also know what I’m doing isn’t right. But I’m really out of options. I don’t know what else I can do, so I had no choice but to come to you. I’m sorry, Mrs. Freeman, but could you let me have Mr. Freeman?“.
She lowered her head once she had finished speaking. She was trembling slightly, and even her eyelashes were quivering as tears began to fall from her eyes.
Noelle simply stood there, looking at her. “Are you pregnant?”
“No!” The question seemed to catch Olivia off guard, and she shook her head vigorously. “We’ve only been together for half a month, so how could I be pregnant?”
Noelle didn’t respond.
“But we are really together. If you don’t believe me, I can show you the photo…”
As she spoke, Olivia pulled out her phone.
Soon, Noelle saw the picture–it was a selfie of Olivia and Hendrix. Just one glance, and she felt her entire being turn cold.
She slowly turned back to look at Olivia. “Since you know we’re married and that I’m pregnant, how can you me to—”
ask
“Because I know you wouldn’t tolerate an unfaithful husband,” Olivia interjected. “I saw you during your prenatal checkup. You and Mr. Freeman weren’t on good terms back then, were you?
“I don’t know what happened between you two at the time, but even when he treated you so well, you refused to give in. So, there’s no way you would forgive him for cheating on you.”
Noelle fell silent.
“I’m actually doing this for your sake. I don’t want you to be kept in the dark,” Olivia added.
Noelle smiled bitterly. “Oh, so I should thank you, is that it?”
“I–I didn’t mean it like that. I just—
“Alright. You’ve said what you wanted to say. Is there anything else?”
Olivia shook her head slowly.
“Then, you should go. I’ll take care of what goes on between us. But I suggest you go to Hendrix directly if you’re looking for a title.”
With that, Noelle closed the door without bothering to wait for Olivia’s response. Once the door was shut, she simply stood there, staring at it in a daze.
It wasn’t until her phone buzzed repeatedly that she snapped out of it.

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
