Noelle didn’t stay any longer to be made a fool of. After casting a glance at Liam, she turned to leave.
“Luma! Noelle! Stop it right there, you bitch!” William’s voice roared from behind, but Noelle didn’t even flinch. and quickened her pace instead.
She had planned to hail a taxi and leave immediately. But upon leaving the restaurant, she realized there was still a considerable distance to the main road. Plus, this area was catered to the wealthy, meaning there was no use for
taxis here.
So now, she was the only person on this empty road.
Noelle pulled out her phone to call for an e–hailing ride. But as she held her phone, she found her fingers trembling uncontrollably.
It took her several minutes just to unlock the device, and when she finally did, she couldn’t locate the e–hailing
app
Her mind went blank, her fingers still trembling violently
At this moment, a beam of car headlights shone brightly onto Noelle, startling her and causing her to retreat several steps back.
The car’s back window rolled down swiftly, and the person inside ordered her to get in, his voice devoid of any
emotion
But Noelle knew that after the scene she had just caused in the restaurant, there was no way he didn’t know. He must’ve heard… every word.
Noelle stared at him, searching his eyes for a hint of surprise, dispust, or judgment. But there was none.
His deep paze was fixed on her, showing no sign of extra emotion.
Noelle wasn’t sure if it was because he had already processed his reaction or… he genuinely didn’t care.
She stood still, not moving
Hendric’s paze lingered on her pale face for a moment before slowly lowering to her hand, which was still clutching her phone so tightly that even the veins on the back of her hand were bulging.
His lips pressed into a tight line. Finally, he got down from the car and grabbed her wrist.
Noelle didn’t resist. Even when he guided her into the car, she showed no signs of defiance. Her earlier hesitation. sormed to have just been her not knowing what to do.
As the car door closed again, Hendrix released his grip on her wrist. It was only then that Noelle seemed to finally regain her composure.
She leaned agaust the opposite car door, turning her head to look out the window.
Hendrix’s hand, which was gripping hers earlier, slowly balled into a fist.

Like how the story is progressing now but why is the author only releasing 3 chapters at a time? this is torture😩😩...
Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
