Noelle managed to dodge.
The vase was smashed onto the floor and shattered into pieces. The sharp fragments sliced into her calves, causing blood to gush out.
But at this moment, no one paid attention.
Craig pointed a finger at her. “You did it on purpose, didn’t you? Making a scene in front of so many people just to completely ruin yourself! You wanted the entire Coppersville to know that you’re damaged goods, didn’t you?
“How did I end up with such a shameless daughter? If I’d known, I would’ve strangled you to death when you were born! I shouldn’t have brought you back into this family. You’ve done nothing but ruin the Swanson family’s
name!”
No one in the room dared to speak. Craig’s voice echoed loudly in the high–ceilinged living room, each word cutting into Noelle like a blade.
Yet, she didn’t feel any pain. She didn’t even avoid Craig’s gaze, simply standing still and meeting his eyes head

“You still dare to look at me like that? Fine! If I don’t beat you to death today, my name is no longer Craig
Swanson!”
As he spoke, Craig unbuckled his belt, and just as he was about to whip it at Noelle, a voice came from the doorway, “Mr. Swanson!”
Hearing the voice, Craig froze mid–action.
Sandra gasped dramatically. “Noelle!”
She then rushed forward, throwing her arms around Noelle “Noelle, are you okay? Daddy, how could you….”
Tears streamed down Sandra’s face, looking like her heart was breaking. But Noelle ignored her, simply pressing her lips together as she turned her gaze toward the door.
Hendrix glanced at her briefly, then at Craig. “We need to talk.”
Craig hadn’t expected that Hendrix would show up at this moment.
So… the rumors had already spread. By morning, Noelle’s scandal would be the talk of the town!
Craig’s expression grew darker, but he couldn’t refuse Hendrix. After taking a deep breath, he turned around, saying, “This way ”
Hendrix followed behind him.
Matilda had been quietly standing on the sidelines. Perhaps because of Craig’s earlier aggression, her face now carried a hint of reluctatice.
Once Craig and Hendrix went upstairs, she immediately used over to Noelle. “Noelle… Why must you do this? Your father already told you not to come back for now and to stay away from William, but you….
“Do you realize that everything you said tonight has been recorded? The entire social circle is talking about it! What good do you get out of this?”

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
