It wasn't Noelle's first time spending the night at Sienna Villa, but it was the first time she slept in Hendrix's room.
Rosie had originally wanted to sleep with her, but Noelle refused. She still didn't know how to face Rosie. She was afraid the occasional dark thoughts that surfaced in her mind might scare Rosie.
She wasn't supposed to be like this. More than anyone else in the world, she wanted Rosie to be safe and happy. So, how could she have entertained such thoughts earlier? She didn't know, nor did she have the courage to confront it.
Thus, all she could do was put some distance between herself and Rosie.
Rosie was quickly taken away by the household staff, but the Christmas decoration she had made was left in the room. It was a crookedly cut Christmas tree with a star on top. It was now pasted on the floor-to-ceiling window, looking somewhat lonely at first glance.
Noelle stood there, staring blankly at it. It wasn't until Hendrix walked over and hugged her from behind that she snapped out of her daze and slowly turned her head.
Hendrix didn't say anything. He just held her quietly.
After a while, Noelle gradually relaxed. Then, she looked down at Hendrix's hands.
The incident from before was over. No one knew about it except for the doctor and a few household staff at Roselle Court.
Noelle didn't attempt to take her own life again. Because whenever she was awake, Hendrix was always by her side, never straying even half a step.

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
