Chapter 90 

Mr. Freeman,” Dan greeted when he saw Hendrix. 

Dan was at Coppersville Airport, and he could tell at first glance that Hendrix was displeased. He still handed the latter the file in his hand. “This is the data report from Zenvora. They have just sent it earlier. Please have a look at

Hendrix cast a glance at it and asked, “And?” 

“Huh?” 

What comes after the market valuation? How are they going to attract the investors? What about the relevant analysis report and media outreach plans?” 

Aside from that, Hendrix asked Dan a barrage of questions so overwhelming that the latter was stumped. Initially, he was walking, but he suddenly stopped in his tracks. Then, he turned around and looked at Dan, and his expression was as dark as coal. 

“I can look past it if they didn’t know me well enough, but you’ve been working for me a long time now, Dan. How could you not have figured out something this simple?” 

Initially, Dan thought Hendrix would take a look at this report and determine if it was worth it to acquire that company. They had been doing things this way the whole time, and Hendrix had never had any complaints. 

Today, however, it was obvious that Hendrix woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Dan had no idea why Hendrix was in such a foul mood, either. 

This time, Hendrix’s work trip wrapped up beautifully. That was why he could come back to Coppersville earlier than scheduled. 

With that said, Dan didn’t dare to ask Hendrix about it. He could only apologize over and over. 

However, Hendrix didn’t even bat an eye at Dan. He merely tossed the file back to Dan before he stormed out of there. 

Levi was already waiting for Hendrix at the parking lot. When he saw the look on Hendrix’s face, he immediately turned around and swapped glances with Dan, who shook his head gently. 

“Drive,” Hendrix said with a blank face. For a moment there, no one in the car dared say anything. 

Dan sat in the passenger seat. He hesitated for a while before he said, “You also received an invitation today, Mr. Freeman. It’s from Mr. Chavez. Here’s the list of attending guests.” 

Hendrix didn’t say anything. He merely took the tablet Dan gave him. It just so happened that a notification popped up at that moment, and it was a video clip. 

Hendrix wanted to ignore it initially, but he instinctively clicked on it when he saw the cover image. A lady wearing a red dress had long and flowing black hair. A golden mask covered most of her face, but he could still see her slightly upturned delicate eyes and the rosy lips below 

A graceful and romantic waltz could be heard as the hems of her skirt swayed gently, giving her a sense of enchanting radiance. It was a look Hendrix had never seen before. 

So, she rejected going to an auction with him because she wanted to go dancing with another man? A masquerade ball, really? 

Great. That was just great. 

Chapter 90 

Hendrix pressed his tongue against the roof of his mouth. After a while, he finally found his voice. He enunciated each word as he spoke, “Take me to Riverscape Hotel.”
