The Three Little Guardian Angels novel Chapter 2697

Chapter 2697

Everyone turned their heads and focused on James. Even James himself was stunned.

“Since we’re going to surprise him, we decided to put his name at the end of the list. Come, let’s give Mr. Tell a round of applause to congratulate him for winning the Best Actor award for his first movie, The Fog!”

James rose to his feet in disbelief as everyone applauded. Hannah pushed him and said, “What are you still waiting for? Hurry up!”

James’s head was blank as he walked onto the stage. After he took over the award, he would give a speech. However, he was silent for a long time and blurted out, “I’m not dreaming, am I?”

Everyone in the audience seats chuckled.

The host laughed and said, “You’re a real actor now, Mr. Tell. Since you can receive this award, it means that everyone has acknowledged you. This isn’t a dream.”

“I… I don’t know what to say,” said James, his voice thick with disbelief. “I feel like the sun has risen from the west. Even now, I still can’t believe I won the award. I know I’m not a good actor, and my manager thinks I’m no good, but I’m grateful that he didn’t give up on me.”

After he finished speaking, he fell silent for a moment before continuing. “If I want to thank someone, the first person I want to thank is my manager. Although he isn’t the nicest person in this world to deal with, he’s still a very good guy. Of course, I need to thank Daisie as well. Without her, I wouldn’t be standing here to receive this reward. When I return, I’ll treat her like a god and worship her daily. I’m just kidding. Please don’t take it seriously.”

Sitting at the back, Charlie shook his head as he felt embarrassed due to James’ nonsensical speech. Things did not end after James gave his out-of-the-ordinary speech. He made it to the top search in Google Trends, and even his own fans started to tease him.

They said that he looked like he was walking to the guillotine to accept his death instead of to the stage to receive his award. When he was giving his speech, he sounded like the host was holding him at knifepoint, so he simply whipped up something due to his nervousness.

Soon, Daisie published a post on her Facebook account and tagged him.

#As expected of you, my dear brother.#

James replied by tagging her as well.

#God! Please accept my bow!#

Charlie joined the fray and tagged James.
