Chapter 13
Cassie grinned awkwardly, not needing to say a word–her face said it all.
Not giving up. Nolan tried again. “You must have heard of the hit game ‘Battlefield, right?
Quiana looked unfazed. “Nope, never heard of it.
Cassie touched her nose, her smile still a bit awkward; the answer was a no–brainer.

Nolan cried in his heart, 1 am Nolant Captain of the Eternal Team! Last year, we were the runners–up in the ‘Battlefield‘ national championship! With millions of fans!
How could someone not know this game? Why did I even ask that question? I wished I could go back and stop myself!
Hugo glanced at Quiana, who was spinning lies with the utmost sincerity, then at Nolan, whose spirits were so crushed that he seemed on the verge of knocking his head against the wall in despair. Hugo struggled to keep from bursting into laughter.
The series was called “Burning Youth,” and it was a hot modern romance idol drama.
The lead actress, Evelyn Dawson, was an award winner at just 26, making her the youngest actress ever to get such honors. Playing the male lead was a rising star named Dylan Forster, who was pretty good–looking.
“Winona plays the second female lead, the guy’s dream girl, Cassie whispered to Quiana with a sigh. “I just don’t get why a big star like Evelyn would join a show with such a new cast, and none of them are from her agency”
Quiana raised an eyebrow but kept quiet.
“Hey, Mrs. Hawley. Nolan wasn’t leaving yet and leaned in closer. “I know Evelyn. Want her autograph or a picture! I can take you over there later.”
Quiana turned her head and gave a cold, mischievous smile. “Call me Mrs. Hawley one more time, and I’ll cut your tongue
DUL”
Nolan pulled back, scared, and mumbled, “But you’re engaged to Julius, right? What else should I call you?”
Hugo frowned, “What engagement?” He was out of the loop on this.
Cassie was all ears too; this was juicy gossip about wealthy families.
Nolan explained, Julius and Ms. Larson had a marriage contract since they were kids.”
“Ms. Larson?” Cassie was surprised and pouted, “Isn’t Winona also a Miss Larson? Why aren’t you calling her Mrs. Hawley?”
Nolan was caught off guard and muttered, “She’s not really…”
Hugo made a face, tugged at Quiana’s clothes, and called out, “Quiana?”
Quiana ruffled his hair and said casually, “Nothing like that
Nolan thought for a moment, ‘Mrs. Hawley is really distant and hard to get close to Pouting, he asked, ‘Aren’t you living it up as the Larson heiress? Why are you still taking small acting jobs?”
Quiana kept it simple. “To make money.”

Nolan frowned, “Is the Larson family broke? Winona’s already famous, and they still need you for small roles?”
Quiana gave him a quick look and then ignored him.

“Hey, who’s that over there?”
“With that look and aura, is she a big star?”
“I feel like I’ve seen her before. Ah! I remember now, she’s Quianal The Larson heiress who was lost as a child and just found! She was all over the news this morning.”
