In the production room, the director, producers, and editors were all gathered in the meeting room, watching the footage on the screen in silence. The assistant director broke the silence first, turning to the editing team, “Cut the part where the two girls were arguing.”

Director Ronan frowned. “Why cut it?”

“Well…” The assistant director hesitated. “Lucy is from Star Entertainment…

Ronan snorted. “So what? No one will insult us!”

“You’re right,” the producer agreed. “This is hot traffic. If Lucy is humiliated, her fans will end up targeting Quiana.”

In Janivielle, there was an unknown secluded courtyard. Dozens of bodyguards knelt in the courtyard, not daring to breathe loudly as they looked up at the figure standing on the steps.

After a long moment, Charles Clarke spoke up. “She’s gone to the Miracle Show training camp on Liberty Island. It’s a closed environment, and she won’t come out for three months.”

The person on the stairs turned around. His black athletic outfit flowed with his long hair, and a silver mask obscured the left half of his face. The right side, with its sharp and strikingly handsome features, was fully exposed.

In the distinctly boned hand, a pearl pendant was being toyed with. The person exuded an aura of menace and let out a low, almost imperceptible laugh. “She runs pretty fast.”

Charles was taken aback and cautiously asked, “Should we send someone to infiltrate the camp?”

Intervening in the affairs of ordinary people was not to be taken lightly. Patrick Shaw shook his head. “No need.” He paused. “Investigate Julius.”

Steven was a singer and Zack was the heir to the Dawson family. Though it seemed unlikely, in private, second–generation heirs often gathered, and artists sought resources and investments. They met over dinners and drinks.

That’s how Zack and Steven met and became acquaintances. Hearing the nickname, Leo’s lips curled slightly. “Weren’t you saying this morning that you wanted to replace Quiana?”

“That was this morning,” Zack mumbled.

Shane chuckled coldly. “Doesn’t your injury hurt anymore?”

“It’s different,” Zack said seriously. “I’ve given it some thought, and I can’t think of anyone else who would be a better match for Julius.”

‘Crazy, Leo thought. He didn’t bother responding and went to change the bandages. Julius narrowed his eyes. “When does the show air?”

“Let me check.” Zack messaged Steven and got a quick reply. “They said it needs editing and recording, so it’ll be at least two weeks, but the first performance can be attended live.”

Julius pondered for a moment, then tapped into Quiana’s profile and typed, [Are you asleep?]
