“Uncle Julius.”
Just then, Nolan ran over from a nearby car, holding a bouquet of blue roses. He offered it to Quiana with a grin. “Quiana, These are from Uncle Julius.
This bouquet was initially intended to celebrate Quiana wrapping up the shoot,
Nolan had come by to prep for the guest role, but now that the entire production was canceled, that was no longer necessary. At least it saved him some hassle.
Quiana glanced at the bouquet, taking a step back. “I’m allergic to pollen.”
Julius was slightly taken aback, furrowing his brow as he glanced at Nolan. “Throw it away. For a
raway.”
Nolan blinked, then quickly ran over to toss the flowers in the nearest trash can.
Just as he turned back, Quiana was approached by a teenage girl who stood nervously in her path.
“Qulana, I’m a big fan!” the girl said, her voice wavering. “I don’t care what others say–I’ll always support you. Please keep going!”
The girl finished, quickly thrusting a bouquet of baby’s breath into Quiana’s arms.
Julius frowned. “She’s allergic to pollen.”
The girl froze. “What?”
But Quiana glanced back at Julius, her eyes glinting mischievously. “I’m only allergic to the flowers you give me.”
Quiana then accepted the baby’s breath, her cold demeanor softening slightly as she smiled warmly at her fan. “Thank you. That means a lot.”
Jullus was speechless.
The girl hesitated, stammered, “Y–You’re welcome, then turned and hurried off, forgetting to even ask for an autograph.
Quiana’s genuine fan had actually brought her flowers–a first.
She gazed down at the bouquet, letting out a soft laugh. This feeling… wasn’t so bad.
Watching her stroll off with the flowers, Zack let out a whistle. “Julius, I think Quiana’s deliberately messing with you.”
Did they really need to guess? That was exactly it.
Leo and Nolan exchanged uneasy glances, feeling the drop in Julius’s mood. Neither dared say a word.
Quiana didn’t bother getting into their car. In the blink of an eye, she’d disappeared.
As the Rolls–Royce headed toward the Hawley residence, Nolan and Zack were learning up in an intense game on their phones.
Zack threw a grenade for the seventh time, only to accidentally knock himself down, causing Nolan to finally lose his patience.
Glancing at Julius, who was resting with his eyes closed in the back seat, Nolan gritted his teeth and whispered angrily, “Zack, do you even know how to play?”
