Chapter 97: Uncle’s Favor
Chapter 97: Uncle’s Favor
Charlotte didn’t look at the caller ID and casually answered the call. From her phone, a pleasantly melodious male voice emanated, like a magnetic
bass.
“Charlotte, it’s me.”
Charlotte was momentarily stunned.
“It’s your uncle,” the person added, and there was a hint of a smile in their voice.
It was Cedric.
Thinking that he was just a twenty–four–year–old young man, only a few years older than herself, Charlotte found it hard to say “uncle,” as if the word got stuck in her throat.
“Uncle…” After hesitating for a moment, she mustered the courage to call him that.
Cedric seemed pleased. In a place invisible to Charlotte, his eyes carried a profound smile. “Come out, I’m waiting for you at the side entrance of the
West Princeton.”
???
Charlotte didn’t expect Cedric to be nearby.
“I’ve checked your class schedule; it’s your break time now. Come, I’m waiting for you,” Cedric said gently.
Charlotte felt she should meet this uncle of hers. She needed to explain the ticket matter to him.
So, she agreed.
When Charlotte arrived at the side entrance, a cool Ferrari was parked by the road.
Leaning against the front of the car was a handsome and attractive man.
His posture was elegant and refined.
This was the first time Charlotte had seen Cedric in both her lifetimes.
This man was undeniably good–looking.
“Charlotte.” Cedric’s eyes brightened when he saw Charlotte, and he immediately stood up straight, flashing an extremely gentle smile at her.
“Get in the car first,” Cedric, very much a gentleman, opened the car door for Charlotte and explained, “It’s easy to be secretly photographed outside.”
Both of them got into the car.
Cedric spoke first, “I know you have some questions for me.”
His eyes slightly curved, a very attractive arc. “The blue roses and the ticket for the meet–and–greet, I sent them to you. Originally, I just wanted to give you a mysterious surprise, but it turns out it was exploited by someone with ill intentions.”
“It’s uncle’s oversight,” Cedric treated Charlotte like a little princess, patiently consoling her, “Charlotte, you wouldn’t be mad at uncle, right?”
Of course, Charlotte wasn’t angry.
Moreover, Cedric seemed to have a kind of special charm. When she heard him speaking kindly with a smiling face, any irritation she had would completely dissipate.
“By the way, Charlotte,” Cedric’s voice continued to resonate in her ears, “You don’t need to worry about the rumors on the internet. I’ll have team handle it. All the rumors and your photos will vanish, and a clarification press release will be published across all platforms.”
After speaking, he reached out and ruffled his niece’s hair.
