Chapter 165: The Truth
Charlotte held the brooch in her palm, her brows farrowed, her expression onclear in the dim light.
Her fair and delicate face seemed to exude a chilling auta, hidden in the ambignons lighting.
It was broken…
Charlotte stared at the brooch in her hand, her eyes inexplicably reddened.
Inside her, countless emotions mingled, forming waves that continuously heat against her heart
brooch held an immensely special meaning for her. It was the only thing left by the young man who had saved her life at the Holy Ranch Resort years ago. She had kept it safe and even carried it close to her.
During the Training camp this time, she still had this brooch with her.
But…
“Hey!” Dylan yelled as he saw Charlotte crouched on the ground, not moving. He couldn’t help but shout loudly. “Do you think you can just stay here like this and not leave?”
Charlotte tightened her fingers slightly, seemingly emitting a cold and resolute aura all over her body.
At this moment, she was like a bloodthirsty lone wolf, with cold and deep eyes, a compelling aura, and intense anger crystallized in those cold eyes.
“You…” Sensing Charlotte’s change, Dylan hesitated for a moment, his face subtly widening his eyes.
Suddenly, he felt that the Charlotte in front of him was quite frightening–as if she could pounce on him and bite at any moment.
Henry also noticed. He narrowed his eyes and stared deeply at Charlotte. His instincts told him that the girl in front of him was very dangerous.
Standing beside the square center…
Karl’s eyes never left Charlotte. He naturally sensed the change in her aura. The young boy couldn’t help but tighten his fingers, his brow furrowing. A killing intent emanated from Charlotte! She wanted to kill…
This thought jumped into Karl’s mind. He was quick–witted, and certain things he could always sense more keenly than others. His expression turned sern, and he immediately strode towards the center of the square.
At that moment-
Loud footsteps could be heard, leisurely approaching.
“What are you all doing?” A clear and pleasant voice rang in everyone’s ears, carrying a hint of gentle authority.
“Teacher Gilbert?” A sharp–eyed student quickly recognized the newcomer and, somewhat stunned, called out his name.
The newcomer was indeed Gilbert. He had swapped his traditional wear robe from the day for a simple yet elegant outfit: a white shirt paired with
black trousers.
It was a very ordinary and conventional combination, but Gilbert carried an otherworldly air with him. His sudden appearance made Henry pause involuntarily.
This man was not someone to be trifled with; he was someone Henry needed to be wary of.
Gilbert walked directly to where Charlotte was, who was crouched on the ground amidst luggage that had been thrown around. His attractive features twisted in displeasure at the sight.
“Did you do this?” Gilbert turned slightly, his icy gaze piercing directly at Dylan.
Those eyes were like razor–sharp blades, capable of piercing through Dylan’s body.
Dylan’s heart skipped a beat, immediately yielding to Gilbert’s overwhelming presence. His face turned pale, and he shakily turned to look at Henry.

Chapter 165: The Truth
After all, Henry was his support.
Gilbert let out a cold sneer, his eyes glinting slyly. “Henry?” He glanced camally at Henry, mockingly uttering his name. There was an air of arrogance between his brows, and he said with a smug tome, “While others here might fear you, Feertainly don’t. Don’t put on airs in front of me
Calbert held a superior position, even Mr. Philip Ryles would show deference to him. Of course, he wouldn’t regard someone like Henry highly.
Henry was well aware of this
Indeed-
He couldn’t do anything to Gilbert.
henry managed to force a smile, his tone carrying a hint of deference. “How could I ever put on airs in front of Teacher Gilbert”
bert glanced at Charlotte by his side and sneered, “But you were just making things difficult for her.”
This “her” naturally referred to Charlotte.
Henry’s expression twitched slightly, and he spoke with a forced smile, “She made a mistake, got into a fight. Naturally, she should be punished, and being expelled is already a lenient punishment.”
Dylan chimed in softly, “That’s right…”
Gilbert sneered, responding, “A fight? Why would Charlotte get into a fight? There must be a reason for her actions. Without clarifying, you expelled her and threw her luggage away… You all really act arbitrarily.”
With those words, the other students watching were stunned. Gilbert made a very valid point. They had been led by Dylan and Henry all along, thinking Charlotte deserved to be expelled and that her involvement in a fight was an unforgivable offense. However, nobody knew why Charlotte resorted to violence, and nobody had asked her.
In the center of the square, Henry’s expression darkened, silenced by Gilbert. He had never experienced such a humiliating moment, all thanks to Gilbert.
In truth, Gilbert disliked Henry. He was merely a hypocritical pseudo–gentleman, always putting on airs.
“Charlotte,” Gilbert suddenly turned and gently called out the girl’s name.
He felt something was off with Charlotte. At this moment, she seemed to be filled with an elusive hostility.
Why did you resort to violence? Can you tell me?” Gilbert asked sincerely.
In truth, Gilbert was not one to meddle in others‘ affairs. However, Charlotte was Liam’s sister. Anything related to Liam made him subconsciously want to protect them. Charlotte was someone he wanted to protect.
