Chapter 07 

When I saw Ryan proudly presenting the baby toys anul supplies, it suddenly reminded me of something 

Back when I was pregnant with my first child, he had custom ordered similar items. 

After my miscarriage, they became meaningless. 

In his anger at me, Ryan smashed them into pieces. 

Linda stormed in and wrestled with Ryan, trying to tear the property transfer certificate out of his hands.

A few days later, Ethan and I came back from the mall

“Stay in the car. Don’t get out.” 

Ethan parked outside the yard, staying alert. 

As he approached the house, several strong men rushed out and attacked him. 

But Ethan was a retired soldier and had won world–class combat medals. 

These men were no match for him and were quickly taken down. 

“Who sent you?” 

Ethan kicked one of the attackers and glared at him coldly. 

Twas… Linda,” the man stammered, begging for mercy. “She said she had to make sure her child would be the company’s only heir. She sent attack you.” 

Theld the baby tightly, my body trembling with rage. 

I didn’t want him to see such an ugly scene. 

I called Ryan. For the first time over, he answered almost immediately. 

“Darling you finally called me.

Ryan arrived quickly. He practically jumped out of his car and ran toward us 

“Darling, have you forgiven me? Let me take you home.” 

When he saw the attackers lying on the ground, he froze. 

“Wh happened?” 

I explained everything, and Ryan was skeptical until the men repeated Linda’s orders to make sure my baby and I didn’t lease the scene alive. 

Ryan’s eyes burned with rage, his gaze sharp enough to cut through steel:

Anger clouded my mind. My baby had almost been killed. “If you don’t seek justice for your child, I will

Ryan lowered his head as if the wright of the entire world had fallen on his shoulders. Shame and inner conflict were written all over him. 

At that moment, his phone rang 

“Ryan, my water broke! A woman’s panicked vulce cried. There’s so much blood, I’m scared. Please come to the hospital

I watched him disappear into the distance and smiled coldly. 

Ryan Linda. I won’t let either of you off 

A month later. I received a call from an unknown number. 

“Sophia, I’ve had a boy!” Linda’s voice was sweet and smag. “New Ryan’s company has its rightful heir,” 

I couldn’t help but laugh mockingly. It seemed Linda didn’t know what had happened to Ryan’s company in the past month. 

After I left the company and gave up on taking over, Ryan made a complete mess of things. 

My father withdrew his investments, and stocks were sold off in bulk. 

Ryan’s company was now 

now on the verge of collapse–an empty shell 

“It’s fine,” I said calmly.” should thank you for taking that piece of trash out of my life.” 

I paused, then looked at the documents my lawyer had given me days ago and added with a smile, “By the way, I heard you had quite the wild tim before reuniting with Ryan several affairs with wealthy men.”
