Chapter 72: Personal Discipline
Chapter 72: Personal Discipline
Charlotte smiled slightly at him. “Ill be fine, don’t worry.”
In the end, Edward could only stay at home with Eleanor.
“Edward, when did you get so close to her? With only the two of them left, Eleanor couldn’t help but ask, “Why are you so worried about what she might do? If she causes a big mess, she should naturally take responsibility..”
“She would never bully someone without reason. There must be something hidden,” Edward said, lips pursed, his eyes deep and serious.
Eleanor snorted, You believe her so much? Defending her like that? How long have you known each other…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Edward suddenly walked up to her. The young man’s eyes were cold and icy, as if frosted, “I suddenly feel like you’re a little stranger. You don’t like her, I understand. But she’s my real sister.”
With that said, Edward walked past Eleanor without looking back.
Eleanor stood frozen in place, her face filled with resentment.
She clenched her fist.
What did Charlotte do to make Edward believe in her so blindly?
She had underestimated Charlotte’s ability to win people’s hearts!
Charlotte followed his parents to the ancestral home.
In the main hall…
Mrs. Jean Larson sat in the guest seat, exuding elegance with a hint of impatience in her eyes.
“Have they flot arrived yet?”
She glanced at the entrance and asked co
coldly.
Old Mr. Bellerose immediately responded with a cheerful smile, “I just called, they should be here soon.”
Jean sighed, feigning helplessness. “Old Mr. Bellerose, I have no choice. It’s the old man in our house. He heard that his grandson was bullied at school and insisted I come to seek an explanation. He dotes on this grandson so much normally…”
“I understand,” Old Mr. Bellerose grew more anxious as he listened. Old Mr. Larson is not an easy person to deal with. “Elders always care for their juniors…”
As they spoke, footsteps could be heard from the entrance.
Christopher and Vanessa walked into the main hall.
And Charlotte followed behind them.
Jean immediately stood up, her expression unfriendly. “Where is Charlotte?”
Vanessa glanced back and urged in a low voice, “Hurry up and come here.”
Charlotte walked into the main hall calmly, displaying a serene demeanor.
“You are Charlotte?” Jean squinted as she observed her, a faint trace of sternness crossing her eyes. This was the girl who had her son beaten like that?!
Thinking of the pitiful state of Harry, Jean’s face turned even colder.
“Our Old Mr. Larson said we need to discipline you properly for your parents,” she raised her chin slightly, showing a somewhat haughty attitude.
