Chapter 80: Charlotte’s Voice
As for the pero in question, Charlotte, the remained calm, as if the praise was not directed at her.
Mr. Larum finished speaking and prepared to leave.
The Belleross Family wanted to invite him for a meal, but he was eager to leave and didn’t want to stay longer.
After Mr. Larson left, Madam Bellerose couldn’t help but reach out to touch those precious collections, and Old Mr. Bellerose smiled, “Unexpectedly, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise”
However, Charlotte suddenly stepped forward and took those antique collections into her own hands!
Old Mr. Bellerose widened his eyes, visibly angry, “Put the things down! At such a young age, you don’t know manners. Are you allowed to take these things?”
Charlotte, however, refused to let go.
She slightly lifted her lips, half smiling, “He personally came to apologize to me. So, these items can be considered as part of his apology to me.”
“Nonsense?” Old Mr. Bellerose couldn’t hold back his anger and rebuked, “Since these items were delivered to this ancestral home, how can they suddenly become yours alone?”
Charlotte moved her lips and replied, “How about we ask Mr. Larson again, whether this is meant as compensation for you or for me…”
Upon hearing this, Old Mr. Bellerose’s face darkened.
This granddaughter of his was using Mr. Larson’s influence against him!
The way she put it, it seemed like she had a point.
What more could he say?
Was he really going to compete with his teenage granddaughter for possessions?
In the end, Charlotte successfully took these antique collections with her.
She wasn’t interested in these items.
But she didn’t want the rest of the Bellerose Family to benefit for nothing!
After everything was settled.
She planned to return to Greenside Garden with Max, while Christopher and the others were to leave the ancestral home and return to their villa in
Brighton Bay,
“Sis, how was it at the Larson family? Did they mistreat you?” Before parting ways, Edward ran up to her, looking at her with concern.
Charlotte couldn’t help but ruffle his short hair and smiled, “I’m fine.”
“It’s good that you’re okay,” Edward sighed in relief. “When I heard you were taken away, I panicked and called my brother–in–law to rescue you.”
Charlotte’s gaze paused. “You’re the one who called Max?”
Edward nodded. “Yes, is there a problem?”
Charlotte shook her head and smiled. “Nothing…”
Who would have thought that Edward’s well–intentioned message would nearly unleash someone’s fury on her…
Later, Edward got into the car and left with Christopher and the others.
Eleanor, on the other hand, didn’t go home with them.
