Dad continued, his voice dripping with venom. “Your shameless, ungrateful bitcht Go back to the mansion! You must divorce
I winced, ending my father’s tirade on the other end of the line. I was beyond exhausted by the way he treated me, but I refused to let them dictate my life.
“Is that how he always talks to you?” Grayson asked, his voice trembling with disbelief after hearing the string of curses my father had thrown at me..
Shrugging, a pang of embarrassment rose in my heart as Grayson witnessed such treatment from my family.
“Don’t mind him. I don’t take his hurtful words seriously,” I said, though deep down, it was heartbreaking to admit I’d grown so used to this that it barely fazed me anymore. I gave Grayson a faint smile and pulled him into a tighter hug.
Perhaps that’s why I value Grayson’s presence so much. With him. I always feel cared for, supported, and safe.
“Let’s grab some lunch,” I suggested, wanting to change the subject from my father’s angry rant.
For a moment, I thought we’d moved on from the ugly scene. I underestimated Grayson. He didn’t let things slide, not when he was offended.
By evening, chaos erupted in my dad’s company. Several suppliers backed out, and one of Grayson’s firms sent a legal letter. causing everyone to scramble.
I didn’t need to ask. This was how my husband acted–quiet, calculating, and ruthless when upset.
On the morning of Charlotte and Lucas’s engagement day, I received a call from Mr. Reed’s daughter, the young lady I had seen that evening at our mansion. I was genuinely surprised, especially with what she needed from me…..
From Lucas‘ perspective….
On the morning of his engagement, Lucas sat in his office, meeting with Gabriel, Leo, and some staff they brought to defend the actor,
Golden Stage was reeling from the scandal involving its talents. Gabriel’s dramatic weight loss was evident–a physical manifestation of how badly the situation had affected him, made worse by endorsers pulling their support. Or perhaps because it is related to Kabella
Charlotte had told Lucas that Isabella was just being dramatic and seeking attention, assuring him that it wouldn’t be long before they got back together–especially since they were already married.
Nothing made sense, but Lucas had to trust his fiancée and everyone around them.
give you some time off. You’re
“What are your plans, Gabriel?” Lucas asked. “There’s not much we can do right now except give you in no condition to work.”
Leo quickly came to Gabriel’s defense. “Mr. Murphy, Gabriel still has a loyal fan base. We can turn this around. We could say the whole thing was staged–that the interview was all part of a plan to grab public attention. We could claim it was a skit for their upcoming movie.”
Leo had invited a well–known screenwriter to the meeting to back up the idea
We can present it as a promotional stunt for their new film starring Isabella, Sabrina, and Gabriel,” the writer added enthusiastically.

Gabriel’s jaw tightened. “Even if we say that, how can you be sure Isaliella will go along with it?”
Lucas paused, considering Gabriel’s words. Didn’t Isabella present her marriage certificate at the Prescott mansion dinner? He then realized that it could possibly be a different husband.
“That makes sensel
“You need to convince Isabella to go along with the movie idea, Gabriel. This could be your career’s saving grace,” Leu arged
Gabriel clenched his fist.
“That woman! How could she do that to you in public? She had to do this movie because she ruined both your and Sabrina’s careers!” Leo continued
Lucas looked at Gabriel, who was glaring at Leo,
He must investigate who Isabella’s real husband was. Was it Evan Monroe?
With that, the meeting came to an end.
It was evening, and Mr. Prescott sat with Mr. Reed and several other businesspeople at a table.
“I trust there won’t be any complications tonight.” Mr. Reed said, his smile unnaturally wide.
“Of course, Mr. Reed! Everything will be perfect,” Mr. Prescott replied, glancing at his wife. “You can do anything to Isabella tonight. We’ve already set up a camera in her bedroom.”
