Gabriel’s eyes locked onto mine. I recoiled instinctively when he reached for my hand as if his touch might burn.
“I know we’ve broken up. Issa, he said, his voice trembling. “But I’m going to court you again. I’ll do whatever it takes to earn your trust hack. That’s what I’m doing right now”
“Why?” I asked instead.
“Because I love you,” he stammered, his composure unraveling. “I can’t live without you. I miss you, Isabella Every feking day! I’m losing my mind not finding you in the apartment. I miss your kisses, your hugs, your smile. I’m going crazy
without you
A tear slid down his cheek, glistening under the faint headlights.
“It’s my fault,” he admitted, his voice breaking. “But that’s why I’m ready to fight for us again. I can’t let go of five years, Isabella. I can’t stand the thought of losing you completely. Please.. can’t you forgive my one mistake?”
I almost laughed at the irony of his plea.
“Gabriel I don’t know how else to make you understand–I’m done. We’re over! No amount of gifts or flowers will change that. You miss me because you got used to me being there, waiting for you in that apartment. But that’s not the life I want anymore. You’re no longer part of my future, Gabriel..”
His tears fell harder, tracing glistening paths down his face.
“I know,” I continued, the ache in my chest threatening to break me. “Even I can’t believe we’ve reached this point. That one day. I’d feel so distant from you.. that you’d no longer be a part of my life.”
His shoulders shook as a quiet sob escaped him.
“Why, Issa?” he whispered, his voice thick with disbelief. “You loved me so much once. How could you just forget those feelings? How could you forget me?”
“Gabriel,” I said softly but firmly, “if you were in my shoes–really, put yourself in my position–how would you answer that question?” I challenged him to see if he truly understood how I felt. It was as if we were trapped in an endless, unbreakable cycle of those questions.
His body trembled as my words sank in.
“So please, stop this.” My tone was resolute. “I have no plans of coming back to you. Besides, I’m married now, It’s inappropriate, and I don’t want my husband to think badly of me–especially since he warned me to stay away from you.”
I opened the car door and stepped out, deliberately leaving his flowers on the seat like discarded memories. As I walked toward another car waiting a few meters away, Gabriel’s desperate voice rang out behind me.
“Isabella!”
He wasn’t ready to accept that I had moved on.
But just as I reached the waiting car, a third vehicle pulled up a sleck Bentley. My heart skipped as Grayson stepped out, his commanding presence making it impossible to miss him. Gabriel stood frozen; his disbelief palpable.
“M–Mr. Blake? Gabriel stammered.
I closed the gap between me and Grayson, wrapping my arms around his waist. Looking up at him. I said softly. “I’m sorry. I promised to avoid him but didn’t want to cause a scene at the office…”

Chapter 65
Grayson’s eyes locked onto Gabriel, his gaze sharp and predatory, like a hunter sizing up his prey
Without a word, he cupped my cheeks and kissed me, claiming me in front of my ex. Instinctively. I melted into him, my arms finding their way around his neck as I returned the kiss with equal heat.
When the kiss broke. Grayson’s voice was ice–cold as he addressed Gabriel. I trust that message is sufficiently clear. Mr. Sterling
After that warning, my husband guided me toward his Bentley with a possessive gentleness
As we passed Gabriel’s car, he remained rooted to the spot, overwhelmed by the truth I could almost see the realization dawn on him–how I could pay such a large amount to Golden Stage and how I was trusted to manage SummitGlow
There was no need to look back at him. His thoughts, his regrets, none of them mattered anymore. I could only hope he understood now that I was no longer someone he could disturb.
Safe inside the Bentley, I curled into Grayson’s lap like a contented panda, burying my face against him to inhale his
familiar scent.
“Hmm.. Mrs. Blake,” he murmured, his teasing tone laced with amusement. “After a secret rendezvous with your ex–fance, you dare to act this affectionate? Aren’t you shameless!”
“I know I was wrong.” I murmured against his chest. “But I didn’t
His arms tightened around me, his laughter low and war
“Good,” he said simply as if that was all he needed to hear.
And just like that. I felt completely at ease in his embrace.
t even look at him. I swear.”
Gabriel’s visit to the office building quickly caught the attention of social media. There was even footage of me getting into his car. Some fans seemed excited:
“Are they back together?” one commenter asked on Chatter.
“Honestly, I like Isabella now. I can’t blame Gabriel if I didn’t distance myself from her. Go, Gabriel, win back Isabella’s heart.”
“My skin’s been so much better after using Bloomify. Isabella was such an amazing woman”
Of course, there were bitter fans, too:
“She’s clearly using Gabriel’s fame. First, she exposes their past; now she’s trying to get back with him? How calculating can one person be? So shameless!”
“Gabriel, don’t fall for Isabella’s tricks! Go back to Sabrina, she’s the one who truly cares but is heartbroken!”
