The Empress thought that Darryl had deliberately said that to anger her.
“Alright! Alright!”
Yvette dismissed it with a laugh. She felt crossed, so she walked up to Darryl and pushed him out of the cave. “Darryl, can’t you be more serious? How can you make fun of my mother?” She lowered her voice so that the Empress could not hear her.
Like the Empress, Yvette also thought that Darryl had pulled a joke.
Darryl thought that Yvette looked indescribably charming when she was angry. He wanted to pull her into an embrace and kiss her, but he held it back.
“Alright, alright, I’ll say no more. I’m going to sleep!” Darryl responded with a smile.
Darryl went to a meadow about a few kilometers away from the cave, and he sat cross-legged to meditate.
Phew!
Yvette breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of it, and she returned to the cave to rest.
There was something indescribable about being on the deserted island at night.
The sky was full of stars, and it was refreshing to hear the calming sounds of waves.
However, Darryl was not in the mood to enjoy the tranquility. As he cultivated silently, he tried to sense the movement of that enchanted beast.
Darryl had not seen the enchanted beast, but it was always near the cave.
Time passed very slowly.
Suddenly, there was a faint rustling sound.
Finally, just as Darryl was about to give up on the movement of the enchanted beast, he heard a muffled noise from the direction of the cave!
At last, it had appeared!
Darryl opened his eyes hurriedly to check it out, and he was shocked to see a huge black shadow as it sped toward the cave!
The beast had smooth skin without a single hair. Its skin was blue, and it shimmered with a coral-like luster. It resembled the appearance of a seal, but it was much larger than a seal; it was approximately three meters high and more than five meters long!
