Queenie quickly walked over at that moment and tightly held onto Darryl’s hand. “I don’t want to go. I want to be with you.”
Darryl would be in grave danger if he were to be by that bad-tempered Chang Er’s side. How could she let Darryl be in danger alone?
Although staying silent by the side, Celine also had vague hints of worry on her beautiful face.
Darryl tapped Queenie’s hand while smilingly comforted her, “Don’t worry. You guys can leave first. I’ll find you later.”
Darryl gave Celine a reassuring look when he said that.
“No, Darryl—” Queenie wanted to say but she was interrupted by Celine.
Celine walked over, tugged Queenie’s hand, and gently said, “Trust your brother-in-law. Let’s go first.”
Celine was confident that Darryl was not someone with empty boasts after being together for some time. He surely had a way of escaping danger since he gave her his assurance.
Celine pulled Queenie and walked into the distance with that thought in mind.
Queenie was extremely unwilling to leave, but could not disobey her master’s instructions. Therefore, she could only reluctantly bid Darryl farewell and looked back every few steps with a piteous look.
Woo!
Darryl only secretly let out a sigh of relief after seeing Celine and Queenie’s figure getting further away before finally disappearing into the woods.
“What’s the second condition?”
Chang Er’s red lips moved at that moment as she slightly opened her mouth while her face that could sway kings remained expressionless.
Darryl smiled and said, “Lady Chang Er, the second condition is to unblock my acupoints. My internal energy has been sealed off for far too long that it’s feeling miserable.”
