Jackie calmed down in the next second as she looked at Darryl, bit her lips, and said, “Is what you just said true? Can the White Lily Cold Flame help block the heat?”

Jackie’s eyes had hints of hope when she said that.

She would not have to suffer so much if it was true!

Darryl smiled. “Of course! You said so yourself that the White Lily Cold Flame can consume other enchanted flames. It’ll naturally be able to do so as these are just normal flames. You won’t have to suffer so much as long as I cast a White Lily Cold Flame shield around you.”

Jackie then immediately said, “What are you still standing there for? Quickly do it.”

Darryl chuckled before looking seriously at her. “Sure, but why should I help someone who keeps wanting to kill me?”

Jackie’s face flushed redder upon hearing that as she lowered her head and gently said, “D-didn’t you say that our grudge has been settled? Do you not plan to help someone who’s in need like me?”

Jackie showed a conflicted expression when she said that.

In truth, she was extremely unwilling to ask Darryl for help, but had no choice since the air there was unbearably hot.

Darryl pretended to contemplate for a while before he smiled, nodded, and said, “Ok, I’ll help you out on one condition since you have asked!”

“What is it?” Jackie did not even give it any thought before replying.

Darryl smiled and deliberately went closer to look at Jackie. “Properly beg me for it and I might help you out of pity!”
